For a capable person, it is better to not invest at all. Not even in index funds. Or if you do invest, take the barbell approach. Put 10% in a risky portfolio (5 stocks), leave 90% in cash to build your business. The biggest returns of all come from having a business of your own.

Ask yourself which of these options sounds best to you;
-8 figure business in 5 years.
-A boomer index fund retirement in 30 years.

Buy and hold silver/gold miners is generally dumb unless you know for sure there's going to be a multi year bull run in gold. Otherwise the costs of mining for gold keeps outpacing profits while Gold/Silver crab endlessly.

But with all seriousness, ROKU had 2 years profit, before a massive loss year. Their gains happened to correspond with a market price of $300/share during dilution.

Miners suck. They're expensive to run, especially small ones like they shill. They're going to dilute you until eternity claiming its just 2 more years until production.
Gold used to be a liquidity sponge, but now it appears crypto absorbs trillions of that, dipping into miner margins.

It may be a swing trade at some point if the market bids gold above 2100 but fundamentally they have all the risk of biotech with little of the upside.
