>$80k in the bank
>the will to buy cheap land/a cheap house
>access to map that shows properties in some urban areas
>access to a DB that shows owner(s) of property displayed on map (and many more)
>time and resources to find contact info about almost anyone in the country

So far I've contacted the owners of a semi-abandoned house asking if they'd sell, and they said no.

>> No.54149287

If I had 80k in the bank I would be putting it into blue chip dividend stocks and setting it to drip and then continuing to invest into it until it hit $500k in a few years and then I'd retire.

If I was looking for a house and the one I wanted wasn't available I'd just keep making money until one I wanted was on the market then I'd go for that.

Not risking my money like that.

>>54149305
That's what I'm doing. In the meantime, inflation is eating my money... Except for a few safe investments here and there.

Why are you asking for advice from /biz/? Keep doing whatever made you 80k in the first place.

Cuz I don't want to be a wagie, and I already have plans on making money if I buy a house or land.

How come no one suggests starting a business with this info?

why do you want a house in the first place?
the real estate business is saturated with people that are too dumb to figure out businesses so they flock the housing market, buying the cheap ones like you want to, "fix them up" and sell them for twice the price
you're better off renting, putting the 80K to work where you know you can double it in 1-3 years and repeating the fucking process until you can buy a house that you like outright like it's a new pair of sneakers
if you think it's too impossible to double your money in 1-3 years you either haven't looked hard enough in markets you can understand OR you need to study up and get good at *something* literally 1 thing is all you need
especially with just 80K

I know, but I'm looking for opportunities here.

>you're better off renting, putting the 80K to work where you know you can double it in 1-3 years and repeating the fucking process
what are some examples of investments that could make me 2x that money? I only know about buying and selling small (read: <$1k) stuff.
I could also make a lot of money specializing on something I already know, but shit's hard and returns may or may not happen.

you're like a fisherman with a 80K fishing boat looking for "opportunities" in a small ass pond instead of the open sea, don't you get it?
you can work as hard as you want but if you just change your approach for a short while you'll shoot past your initial needs faster than you'll realize
if you know how to 2x stuff up to 1K then just sell it to 80 people in 1 year it's literally that simple, that's about one person every 3 days
or sell something bigger if that's too much effort
don't waste your time "getting better" at something, that's slave mindset
we live under capitalism and none of you seem to understand "capital" is in the name of our system
a soldier making 80K a year in afghanistan uses a 28 million dollar drone to drop 80K bombs on villagers who don't make 80K in their lifetime
capital rules everything and your work efforts don't mean jack shit that's why the finance industry is so fucking huge, you're employing capital at scale with incredible ease that's how bezos makes more money getting a blowjob once than you'll ever make in your lifetime
one step down from capital comes software and he understood this so he leveraged software, replacing goyims with robots in datacenters that don't complain and don't have rights

I've semi-automated a good prt of my search for houses. I can download a shitload of ads from multiple websites and filter specific parameters when querying my local DB. What does that mean? It means I have some advantage over an average retard. I'm planning on automating even more stuff so I can make my daily search much easier.

>don't waste your time "getting better" at something, that's slave mindset
M8, I make easy money as a wagie by sitting on my ass for a few hours a day at most. OTOH, buying and reselling expensive shit (or even cheap shit) means getting exposed to thieves, scammers and shit. I know it because i've done it in the past.

>one step down from capital comes software and he understood this so he leveraged software, replacing goyims with robots in datacenters that don't complain and don't have rights
LMAO Amazon employs a LOT of people, and it took Bezos a lot of time to get where he is.
I mean, if shit is so easy... Why don't you do it?

could you sell this software/service to someone? Whip up a quick website and offer your services

Because I live in a 3rd world country and not in murica?
Also,
>if you are so good, then why don't you blah blah
What kind of logic is that? Real life doesn't work like that, you can be a retard but have connections and get a well paid job, or you can be a brilliant guy and be poor forever.

I thought about that, but, many ad websites already exist.
But yeah, I should do some research to see if people are interested.
