I am aware it's still 1oz, was more wondering why they add the copper in the first place, I guess it's just to make it easier for handling then, which is in fact something you'd probably want for an actual in-use golden coin.

I suppose the .999s are pure enough to just make the jump straight to jewellery making if one was going that route; so in that sense it's probably not a bad idea to have both "handling" gold coins and "pure" gold coins if you have the wealth for both.

Long story short, we never found them at spot price or close to it, like one dipshit anon was repeating. We decided to give up, because fuck that shit hole and fuck their spic coins. Yes, his teachings were of great value to me. I couldn't shitpost due to a butthurt jannie for the past week, but i've to announce him i finally managed to get my hands on ultra cheapies. Half a kilo for $4/oz. The roastie selling those had the great idea of using a silverplate spoon as main image for the lot, even though the rest of the silverware is .925. Ofc it pushed away 99% of potential buyers thinking
>"pfff yet another retarded boomie selling silverplate for real silver"
I asked for extra pics few hours before the auction ended, and boom, jackpot! I was the only bidder and it sold for starting price.

Officially at 2:500, bois. Hurts seeing the cheapies disappear but shout out to the mailman for the early gold krug delivery.

Don’t know how I’ll occupy the next two weeks before making another big purchase. The copperchad in me wants a kilo but maybe I’ll stack a tube of cool design rounds. 40$ for 20 rounds satiates my inner dragon.

Congrats fren for the stack. But don't waste your shekels on retarded stuff, fight your inner dragon and stay strong.
The financial meltdown is finally here and nothing can stop it. Banks worldwide lost more capitalization the past 3 days than during most of 2007-2008 combined. This is absolutely insane, and you know it's really serious (tho triggered on purpose by our gigakikes to push their cbdc enslavement) because the media refuse to talk about it.
Over here all our large banks hit the circuit-breakers everyday since the week began. Never happened before. And they have nothing to do with SVB/first republic/signature/etc... it's just the fear contagion spreading completely uncontrollably. Nobody trust our financial system, you can only trick the goyim so much before they start to learn their lesson.

Totally right, anon. I got a laughably large stack of copper in various forms and it is more than enough. The FOMO of the last week seeing banks shitting their pants has got me on edge but I gotta find that inner peace. 5 oz are going into the tubez over the next week and I already know what lot of 5 and what lot of 10 will fill that bbygurl up. The biggest problem I have currently is deciding when enough is enough and when to stop.

Wont happen. The only way to get cheap RMs is to find the few german bullion dealers who still have some stuff left and hope they accept to ship to your country. It's the only option.
I had to wait 6 months for the dealer i bought from for him to refill his stock, and within 24 hours it was gone. You better be really sharp and ask for mail notifications. And get ready to use a lot of google translate kek.

Damn dude, that looks like an authentic original Rococo style piece, a snuff box maybe if it's quite small. You see tons and tons of later Victorian era or early 20th century rococo "revival" silver but a legit OG King Luis XV era piece is probably rare and valuable, I dunno what something like that is worth offhand though. If it's listed really poorly then there is a good chance it's a "sleeper" and you may get it far cheaper than normal market value. I think investment in a piece of genuine 18th century French silver art like that is worth paying a premium for, as I said everything else like it that I've seen are much newer copies of the rococo style, not genuine products of the era, so it's probably a special piece.

>It is getting very spicy out there but with big stacks to insulate us I couldn't be comfier watching the world unravel
It is. Apparently Credit Suisse just asked for a nationalization behind closed doors, after the saudis refused to spit another few billions to save the bank. In emergency, the SNB (swiss national bank) loaned them no less than 54 billions USD, it was 2 hours ago. So much for
>the bail-outs, it's over now! We let capitalism freely dictate the market
all the politikikes vowed to apply after 2011...

This was an info who didn't make much noise back then, but last october, Credit Suisse cried for help from.. other big banks.
JPMorgan, Citi, Goldman Sachs, BNP-Paribas, etc... a total of 20 banks accepted to give them $4 billions.
In what world a company reach for competitors to ask for gibs? And in what world said competitors fucking accept to save a competitor?
Some very, very shady stuff is going on behind the curtains.. I believe said consortium of banks was fearing it would become the catalyst to trigger a domino effect of financial collapse. And that it could buy them a bit of time.

It was in late october. We aren't even 5 months after, and the $4 billions are already gone and the situation for CS is somehow even worse, even tho they restructured hard (read sold all their RE assets and fired half their workforce)? How could that happen? How can you waste cash so fucking fast?

Considering how fucked the situation is, literally all governments will have to intervene and run the printing press like never before, and all this probably before the EOM. Since said banksters are holding hostages basically the entire western taxpayers via their bank account they are allowed to seize with the 2014 bail-in laws, governments have no other choice but to oblige. Hyperinflation is coming fast, very fast. Tighten your seatbelt frens.

Since said banksters are holding hostages basically the entire western taxpayers via their bank account they are allowed to seize with the 2014 bail-in laws, governments have no other choice but to oblige.
I hadn't thought about it this way; that the bail-in provisions were perhaps a disingenuous way to alleviate the concerns of voters in the aftermath of the GFC but that the bankers all knew that they could use the mere threat of seizing uninsured deposits (thus prompting a catastrophic global bank-run and loss of public confidence) to force central banks to print fiat like it's going out of style, which the central banks probably always intended to do anyway even when publicly claiming otherwise. Very interesting times to be living through fren.

not a very well thought out response. those shitty little tests aren't reliable or could produce an error. not to mention that you might need to trade with someone who cant test it, doesn't have the time to test it, etc
i think best bet is silver eagles, maple leafs, and maybe brittania. but i don't know too much about the scene

>> No.54151082

>>54150983
The ping test you can do with your hands in seconds. It's not 100% reliable but it is better than nothing. And for the magnet test you do need a magnet, sure.
I'm not sure what you mean otherwise.

If I'm trading I'm not going to give the appearance of the coin any further credence than their word.
Look at the coin here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/155409719090
Eagle, silver looking. If it's lead core plated with aluminum or whatever to the point it has the right weight, are you really going to go "hmm this looks like an eagle alright, thanks pal" and be on your way after trading?
>doesn't have the time to test it
Again, they take all of a few seconds to test. Using both methods reduces the error rate as well.
A post-SHTF scenario aren't going to have cashiers as brainless as those who take any round coin and not realizing they're accepting canadian pennis as american pennies because they look brown.

>I don't know too much about the scene
obviously.
Here you go bro a mercury dime from the retro year 2000, don't worry about the roosevelt image it's a silver dime bro you can trust me, see it's silver.

It’s common enough that I can always find it with some waiting, but what if that’s the last day of sub 2000k gold? And of course it’s a kind of investment and it’s really cheap(as in premiums), plus there’s some possibility of numismatic value in the future, because of the >muh apartheid meme and I fully admit I kinda want it because of /pmg/ memeing it.
I went to work now. Guess if it’s still available when I get home, it shall be mine. And if it’s gone, it’s no big loss either.
