Wrong answer. You must buy Bayhorse. Bayhorse is at an all-time low and has just finished crashing and losing all it's value last year. But this time it's different. It has a proven reserve of silver. This time next year, Gayhorse Chads will be living like Kings! And if you don't buy it, then you're not a real PMG anon! Real PMG anons buy STOCK! And Buttcoin! Non-pmg outsiders seethe at this, post stacks shills.

It’s a bit of a meme that we’ll transition immediately from fiat into metals. If you take a look at the most recent real world examples of order collapsing goods became a means for exchange like cigarettes, food, ammo, and fuel. However, fractional silver is a great means of stacking because you are objectively stacking silver and it is in a far more divisible amount like dimes or quarters.

Try to save for bulk orders, even if it’s just a roll of dimes. At the smaller amount premiums get pretty high. And if we do dissolve into /pmg/‘s wildest fantasy you’ll have dimes ready for the formally well to do housewives and their daughters of questionable age.

Depends what you mean by "good."
It has an enormous variety of stuff to buy - the largest I've seen.
Their prices are usually the highest, but this is reasonable, considering they have to pay for acquiring and storing that inventory through thick and thin.
They're slow if you use ACH, which is treated the same as a paper check for clearing, going through a 5 business day clearing period even though you'll see the withdrawal from your account right away.
They are reputable - their stuff is legit.

This depends entirely on your intentions with stacking. Why are you stacking? What do you hope to achieve with this? Do you have any sort of timeline? Where do you live? What's your current portfolio look like? How much extra money do you have each month? Do you have major expenses you're currently saving for? Etc. I'd be cautious of anyone who tells you what you should be doing if they don't know the answers to these things.

Premiums are often less, and the assay cards some come in are good protection - the fact you can't open them (ala capsules) tends to thwart the urge to play with (and damage) them, though there really isn't much if any numismatic / condition value.

newfriend here. I decided to finally start stacking on monday and my 3ozt gold delivery arrives tomorrow. At that point I'll have around a third of my savings in gold. With that in mind, I'm looking forward to stacking silver next. And about that, as well as generally, I have a few questions:
The pastebin mentions coinvest as the only site for germany/EU. Does anyone here have experience buying from germany and could tell me more about trusted online stores?
How much of your income do you generally leave as liquid funds in your bank, how much as cash, and how much do you convert into gold/silver?
Buying gold in 1ozt coins seemed like the best choice to me, so what about silver? It's better to get a lot of it at once, and I'd probably start with upwards of 1-2k euros on one order once my summer vacation is over and I have a decent chunk of savings without unexpected costs, but I'm really clueless about everything else

I respect the willingness to double down on bad bet after bad bet by you PM retards. Many of you would be fantastically rich if only you had the same conviction with a bit more critical thinking to guide your investments. But it's like you're missing the part of your brain that appropriately responds to feedback. As well as having personality flaws that push you into believing societal collapse narratives and cult-like behaviour.

We aren't living in the 70s anymore. People aren't interested in gold and silver as a store of value, and a critical mass of adoption is unlikely to ever happen again. Society is not collapsing, but actually improving around the world due to rapid technological innovation.

Boomer rocks gonna collect dust until the boomer dies and then their children will sell them to fund their metaverse NFT fashion brand. This will continue all the way until value is aligned with the raw material efficient value of manufacturing use cases. Today the gold price plummeted once again proving it is a worthless barbaric relic. SELL NOW!

Silver is the better choice though. It's 5x undervalued compared to gold, even with the VAT you'll still have 4x more gains with it.
The common advice is to hoard both at 1:100 weight ratio: for every ounce of gold you get 100 ounces of silver.

Why all silver? If I were investing $150k in metals rn, it'd be $100k in gold and $50k in silver. The banking stuff could get uglier and gold is a better safe haven than silver. Silver is more of an investment in the hopes it pops, whereas gold is better as a store of wealth. I see this a lot, that silver is alleged to be undervalued. But why exactly do so many people say that? Sure, the ratio of available silver and gold is out of whack if you were to just accumulate everything, but both have their different uses in the production of various goods, so it's not as easy as "the ratio should be ~15:1 because I said so" because of different demand. what would be the reason for the silver demand to suddenly skyrocket?

I'm not so sure. Given the similar relationships to the two metals, I don't see gold being able to run away from silver due to arbitrage opportunities. Given the known scarcity of silver, people would just sell some gold and vacuum up a metric fuckton of precious metals relative to what they sold.
Silver, however, can run away from gold due to its industrial uses. It is needed elsewhere and the supply is very tight. I think 100 years from now silver as a money metal will be a bizarre notion to think that silver was actually in coinage that was widely used by everyone. It would be like people have 90% palladium coins or something back in the 1600s or whatever.

The bull thesis surrounding platinum is pretty explosive. Most of it comes from Russia and South Africa. As PMs break down, I fully expect Pt to behave similarly to Pd which was too small a market to be tamped down and went from $250 per ounce to $3000. I have couple ounces and that is all I really want/need. I still think stacking for weight will be a key factor, and silver offers you the most bang for your buck by a long shot.
I believe every single transaction you make with PMs will command a built-in markup similar to a premium. And the more you have the better simply because people will need/want it.

I think the paper-ponzi is papering over the supply deficit issues. No one stores value in commodities anymore and I can see that changing in a big way. And the price suppression is also a function of helping to pad corporate profits. If the elite go and dump their value into precious metals it's over. I think the true scarcity will destroy even entire corporations who won't have access to resources because everyone is desperate to shield themselves from a depreciating currency. It should not be underestimated just how much "value" is tucked away in this paper-ponzi. It essentially frees up an ungodly amount of capital and leaves the ownership rather nebulous. When push comes to shove, I expect everyone to be keeping their ownership close. No more will people get paid and then hand over their digits over to some magical bond market to earn them a few basis points. No longer will be be fooled into believing in "easy money" monetary policy and be taking out massive loans for whatever reasons. Resources will be scarce for years if not decades.Few people and institutions will be able to command borrowing power because it is only the productive sectors that can generate enough economic activity to pay back loans based on operations. The economic pain we will be entering will be very long lasting and unlike anything anyone in America has seen before.

My wife was talking about this earlier; all of this bullshit with banks failing is the perfect red herring by our Jewish overlords to direct to world into CBDC. I’d go a step further and say the last year of crypto scams are equally as fabricated and provide the perfect path for complete government embargo. Hell, they would likely try to sell CBDC as the perfect pairing of crypto with fiat currency.

Either way I don’t see PMs crashing. If anything there would be a greater demand considering there wouldn’t even be physical cash anymore and all it takes is big daddy government locking you out of your account for not having enough good boy points to completely cripple your savings.

The price of gold is a barometer for confidence in government and currencies. Fiat currency demands confidence for it to have value. By keeping the price of gold low it makes fiat currency look strong. By keeping the price of gold low governments and central banks can mask inflation making it look lower than it is, or even mask the fear of inflation. Silver is a smaller market than gold but the two are tied at the hip. By keeping silver down, they can keep gold down.

Like I said silver is a smaller market, so it's easier to contain. When you look at the price action of precious metals you shouldn't focus on a short term period. You should look at the long term. Zoom out. One day of trading does not make a trend.

god fucking damnit bro, thanks for bringing this up

Yes better not to buy gold bars, you will pay a little more but i advise the 20 franc vreneli they are tax free as well and easily spendable, think SHTF do you think it will be easier to sell the little coin or the 1kg bar ?

Reading through my first post made me lol considering how confusing it is. Long and short; married a much older woman who was like a mother figure to said coal burner. Not related at all but has been in my wife’s life long enough to be a pseudo-mom. What’s funny is my pseudo stepdaughter is older than me.

I think I’m a couple steps away from becoming my own grandpa.

Why are krugerands so popular despite being something like 10% copper?
Isn't it preferable to have a .999 pure gold coin so it's easier to work with / melt down if desired?
I saw a dented canadian maple the other day from someone dropping it and I admit it was less than aesthetic, is it purely so that doesn't happen?

if you buy a physical dollar from someone and then sell it back to them you will probably lose something like 2-13 dollars depending on means of shipping chosen.
It's a transaction cost.
In the old days not even money changers will change your money for free. In the modern days you try to buy Kroner with Dollars and they still charge a fee for it, etc.
