>> No.54121596

Depends on why you want it. If it's for job reasons then no. If you are genuinely interested in the subject itself and want to research or teach at a university then yeah go for it.

I recognize your post the other day, I think it depends what you want out of life and what school.
If it’s Chicago then yes go for it, if not maybe reconsider. But also grad school is more fun that being a wagie

well on one hand yes, a PhD shows you have some basic knowledge. On the other hand no, because a degree in finance or mathematics may be more useful.

Any actual economist will understand the humor in my response.

PhD's in psuedo social sciences only prepare you for jobs in acadamia, you don't actually make any money.

Yeah, that's my thinking. Hoping to smash a bunch of young puss and maybe even meet my wife. Would be 30 years old by the time I started a program.

People here have a solid understanding of economics. More than 95% of the general population. Stop projecting.

No. I would say 95% don’t even know how GDP is calculated.

economics is the worst of them
accounting is really safe, but boring as fuck
finance is really good, but the best jobs require you to be a chad, however you can make decent money by just being a decent analyst
