I find that there is a gradient of ability among Indians but the one thing they have in common is an inflated self perception of their skills and knowledge.

They need every task to be written down, in a numbered list, and if any part of the action deviates you should expect them to just copy and paste the whole list like it's just commands. I have PTSD from my time working for a pair of w*men. Sadly, I succeeded in my self-set goal of reforming my department, which was about to implode and take down the entire business unit. In hindsight, the burnout wasn't worth it personally and in the grand scheme of things it would have been better for that business unit to fail due to internal problems, because my department wasn't the only problem, only the most immediate one. That unit will inevitably fail, now for much more expensive reasons relating to hardware.
