Reminder to sell eth right before staking unlock. Buy back after if you want but this is gonna crash with no survivors as soon as people can withdraw their eth.

Nah the skyrocketing demand from new stakers will start the flippening, then we go straight up to 30k

Good point fren. Entirely possible although with the fud about pos coins being securities I am not so sure anymore.

It was supposed to be this month but they moved the dates again. They say it’s Q1/Q2 but no concrete dates were given.

Basicly millions of Eth are stuck staking and you cant unstake them (for over a year now). You can stake but you can never leave lmao.

The increased staking demand only comes in the following weeks and months. Selling pressure both from full (32 ETH + rewards) and partial (only accrued staking rewards) withdrawals happens as fast as the exit queue allows. Most staked ETH is in LSD like cbETH and stETH and accessible to market already. Some unlocked ETH won't be sold but restaked through a different 3rd party staking service or a completely new validator node. So many things to consider and most can't be calculated, only estimated. We'll see how market reacts when the day comes closer.

It goes live on göerli today and generally a month after göerli has been a good estimate for mainnet. Mid-April if no problems happen on göerli (as there shouldn't at this point).

why did you write a whole blog post to say, "two weeks"?

Retard. I posted about 2 different topics: my views about market impact of the unstaking and estimate for the mainnet launch date. You can't compress any of my points beyond what it already is. How fried are your brains if you can't spend 30 seconds reading?

So at best ETH can only pump with BTC, but at worst drop in response to bad news. Why would anyone hold ETH?

>> No.54116351

>>54116283
I don't agree with this take.
First of all, ETH is a pure meme and i can't wait for it to die.
But the merge didn't pump because everyone's ETH was staked. No one could sell even if they wanted to.
Hence why ETH is going to plummet after they allow people to unstake.

It didn't dump because 12% of all ETH were staked by hardcore Ethereum believers who were ready to lock their funds for years, and not even counting that around half of staked ETH were already liquid through LSDs like Lido's stETH? Yes the only reason ETH didn't dump on Merge day was that 94% of all ETH isn't enough to move the market. Jesus.

Are you stupid? or just plain dumb?
In order to get in on ETH 2.0 early you needed to stake ETH.
Hence all those ETH 2.0 holders haven't been able to offload their bags.

>> No.54117791

>>54117603
NTA but yes, anon, /biz/lets are incredibly stupid. I imagine a majority of them haven't even claimed their Eth 2.0 after the fork.

But you're right.
Still this dump is good for picking up the odd out-of-the-box take and the odd gem.
