Today was the first day I got a full .5 satoshi even after suviving the last two normie dumps, even though my full portfolio didn't start. I sold my ark to get in on the xvg pump, sold that and diversified the fuck out of things a minute ago. I plan on riding this one out too. I've come too far and have become comfortable numb to these kinds of dumps. Still, it would be nice if things settled down, but that's what I get for dealing with a product that was pumped hard by the promise of wall street involvement and constant media attention. I miss the good old days.

I used to think "hold" was a joke, but I've done that over the last ~8 months, and even my shittiest shitcoins have gone up exponentially. There were times certain shitcoins dropped 90% in value, only to end up worth 10x more than what I paid a few months later.

Everything recovers, unless a coin comes out as a complete scam (Confido for example) it will almost certainly always recover and reach new highs.

You just have to be patient, hold, not panic, quit stressing. Yes you can make more profit if you have perfect timing, if you know when to sell at the very top and buy at the very bottom but that's easier said than done and way more stressful.

I was all-in ltc a few weeks ago. I sold it during the great pump, went to bed, then fomo'd back in at around tree fiddy before my morning coffee. watched it all crumble down and hodl'd. Learned my lesson through that mistake. I had about 6800 fiat before the fomo bit my ass. Never again. Got further into alts as I can see bitcoin become less and less relevant. Fought tooth and nail to gain it all back. I've been hovering around that same amount now for about 2 weeks thanks to market instability. I won't throw in the towel until I've lost it all which doesn't appear to be the case, not with the amount of infrastructure and effort that's been put in place for all of this.

Yeah pretty much. My mind goes out the window when I see a stale pink wojack anymore. I do appreciate OC though and maybe I'll come up with one. Trading on the margin is great when you have a slow traditional market, but a 24/7 market high on amphetamine is a difficult concept to grasp. For now, it's best to pick the coins that make sense, and hold on to them for at least a week, or at a 10-30% loss. Decreased loss % if btc/bch/bcc/dongbase isn't fucking with everyone everyone, then you just picked up a hyped up pajeet coin desu and it's time to cut it loose, else wait and see. Also, if you see a SNEK, give it some love. Those are fun and can even out any mistakes you've made in the past. Just don't fomo and your pic related (3rd panel)

It reeks of it to the point that many of us have been able to identify this trait from our 1-2 year stint on f712u that we actually have developed a sixth or seventh sense towards picking up on it. Take me for instance, totally off the cuff, never really conform to anything. I fit right in here. Most posts get no replies, people probably just nod their heads or ignore because I'm too wordy and go about their day. You however, invoke a certain throwback feel for most of us who've glanced at that repository of mailed AOL CD-ROM account holders.

In reality you don't know how much further it will drop
It could drop another 10% and make you earn 15% buying low and selling high OR it could go back up immediately after you sell and then all you did was lose 3% and so you buy in trying to ride the upturn but then it goes back down again and so you lose another 10% and so on.

HODL some then buy more at the dip. 1 hand immovable as iron and the other quicker than lightning. you should never sell at a loss. never.

Best part is, it seems all of the exchange websites are too inefficient at rewritting all the css on the page of high-volume coins, so by the time you input your limit, you've just fucked yourself. Use the mobile app? Yeah, hate to break it to you, it's off by a few margin points when this occurs too. Your best bet is to hold, or hodl as one redditor put it. Averaging down is something a lot of new traders have difficulty with. It's hard to wrap your head around putting more money in to something that looks like a sinking ship.
