The rate cut thesis is that it's needed to prevent bank failures. Banks are all in a weak positions because they're getting fucked by their obligations to purchase 10y bonds as they've been doing that at a time of low rates.
However the facilities that were rolled out to save banks are a clear indication in my mind that there will be no rate cuts.
