But the source of cash is ultimately the banking system. It's not like the fed just mails out bills to people.

Both points are valid guys. Liquidity and technicalities are all the factors unaccounted for now.
Cash is burning faster than ever. Very exiting times. I don't think they got a end-game plan, because the fundamentals fiat are based on has painted them into the corner with don't allow their dystopian dream of cbdcs in another framework to flourish. They're just not technicallly enforceable, yet all the nation states who run on them WILL die in some manner. The old system simply dies and it's more likely to do so sooner than later than bitcoin is. Rome. Sumeria. Countless empires will fall.
It's simply impossible for the dark forces to win because they don't own you.

You need to actually have it. You might have some numbers on a website of a bank that say "$X", but that doesn't mean you actually have $X.

They might have a plan, it just can't be a very good one. You can always come up with some zany scheme that'll work in 2 more weeks.

Yeah. And their "cdbc's" are literal chinese money I doubt can be copied and enforced globally as you need policies to enforce them, and no matter how corrupt the scemes are you can't go from "capitalism money" into pure sovjet-dictated-spending-money without failure of the state.

Living in scandinavia we're perhaps a few years ahead of any other country in terms of impact of the 'recession', so what I am focused on is acoomulating real assets, not money. If everything eventually will be unaffordable, what would you like to have around in terms of barter buying? So far, I've got my hands on antibiotcs. Water filters. Tents. Tobacco, tea, chocolate, alcohol, canned food, vacuum packaged grain and cereals, and cold wallet'ed safe crypto. I feel it's recession-proff stuff, and I feel like I get the most out of my fiat that way. We really could end up in a financial collapse akin to what the rest of the world has experienced recently, and if we're bound to end up with enforced chinese money in some ten years time horizon I'd like to actually keep some stuff in the pantry first. Banks are going down next, I think, but not nessesarily together with the vaporization of legitimacy and legality the state currently projects.
