First for pointing out OP is a faggot for premature baking.

Why to keep threads going -
>reduces the number of archived threads to search through.
>greater chance of finding key words in longer threads.
>Less time when two (or more!) threads are going simultaneously, alleviating
- confusion when someone coming /biz/ searches for /pmg.
- switching between the active threads for conversations.
>Filters on IDs of shitposters last longer = more effective.
>Inevitable continued posting in old thread buries the post to the new thread farther.

Simple: don't create a new thread until after image limit (150) has been reached, and/or bump limit (309) has been reached (and it would still be nice to wait until current thread gets to page 8 or image limit has been reached).

Also: not OP's image.

So the Perth Mint's problem was they're actually too good at refining, were selling +99.996% gold bars to China for years when they were only paying for four nines, understandably decided to stop giving away free gold and started bringing the purity closer to four nines by adding silver (common practice), but SGE is autistic about its silver content not exceeding .005%, flagged two bars they thought did for testing, one was found to borderline exceed the the other not. Perth offered to remake the bars but China doesn't export gold so they came to an amicable resolution 2 years ago and continue business to this day. This is somehow "fraud" according to the ABC. I feel like buying some kooks after all this

Most places require an order of $300+ for free shipping, which isn't a big deal, but the $1.5k... eh... There really isn't enough of what I want to even justify the cost. I like design diversity. I'm not a "buy by the brick" type of person. Silver is for the long hall. I'd like to enjoy the art. Sometimes it's worth the premium, but usually not, especially for lame crap like eagles. In the immediate future, no. However, we are on a steady and rapid trajectory should we continue this way. There's no rush, considering how manipulated gold and silver have relatively stayed the same in price for years, despite this rapid inflation. If your stack is small, I would recommend more silver for hypothetical collapse. It's easier to barter for necessities with smaller denominations. You'll buy groceries with an ounce of silver, not gold. It has potential for the greatest return. Frankly, I think gold is a bit of a meme. It's just easier for banks to move around.

At least the chink you posted actually has a pretty face, but usually the only thing going for them when I see these posts is their body, and even then the proportions are comical to my white eyes. I genuinely like square jaws and broad shoulders. It's beautiful on anyone. Sad that there's no representation for it anywhere. Only thing that would get me to stack gold again is pic rel.

Pretty, but at the cost I'd have mere flakes in my hand. I like clinking my 1oz'rs, sorry. Last of my gold I sold years ago for a car. Never was interested in replenishing it after that.

>All is well. I spoke with NGC and the certification number is legitimate. It had something to do with this being one of the SS Republic coins, that perhaps they did not have it in the system. It should now be in the online database. I'm very relieved (https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ngc-certification-number-unable-to-verify))
Do you think it's that it being a very obscure coin messes with the registry search? I'd imagine 90% of the coins that get looked up are American ones so coins from countries that have ceased to exist might be buggy

Any reason not to buy 40% silver coins? They’ve got the smallest premium of any silver I can find from an online vendor, including heavier 1kg bars, and you wouldn’t need to break them down in a hyperinflation scenario. I imagine they’re difficult to get rid of if I wanted to liquify my stack.

>> No.54008438

>I imagine they’re difficult to get rid of if I wanted to liquify my stack.
That one, which kind of defies the point. I think the silver was supposed to be a pain to refine out of them, unlike 90%.

>> No.54008560

>>54008438
I wouldn’t say it defies the point. If the point is to be able to trade after an economic collapse, I don’t think these would work any worse than minted 90% or 99.9% coins because they contain a known amount of silver. The problem is if you want to get rid of them before an economic collapse.

If I wanted something that doesn’t need to be physically broken down into smaller pieces and maintains it’s value in case I want to sell it for a roughly equivalent amount of usd down the road, my only choices are 1/4 or 1/2 oz coins, which come with a pretty steep 25%+ over spot price premium. Kind of a tough choice.

The bars WERE minimum 99.99% gold.
So chang’s super strict tolerances are there to try and jew you for extra 0.001-0.003% pure au
With >0.005% silver content, the bars would have had even smaller amount of other trace metals in them, obviously not as valuable as silver.

90% dimes are less than a tenth of an ounce of silver, quarters are about a fifth of an ounce. You can get plenty fractional with relatively common coins while still having options if the S doesn't HTF and not depending on anyone to understand yet another subcategory of coin they weren't familiar with the year before. At that point I'd say to just start stacking copper, but who knows what will happen.

In the scenario of metal becoming money again, pieces of 8 would definitely make a return. It'd only make sense to cut oz coins, rounds and such up for fractional buys. Just order a couple 10oz silver bars the other day and I've got my first (near) half oz of gold coming in the form of sovs. Pretty excited to hold some gold. Think with my band I can safely say I own a half oz of pure gold, 139oz of silver once my bars come. Pic rel is my stack currently before new buys arrive, what should I get next? Never understood the disgust, or anger for that matter. Anons will post thousands of dollars in PMs, alot of them pretty good quality pics, will contribute to conversations, but the second they include a figurine in the pic and you guys latch on like a pit bull to a toddler and the only thing your brains can focus on is the figurine. You guys will completely ignore all the PMs, and shit up and derail an entire thread in some cases multiple threads in a row bitching and moaning that someone would have the audacity to put a figurine in their photo. Just doesn't make sense to me unless the whole point is to not talk about PMs in which case you guys are doing a great job.

Pmg is about precious metals. Not your faggot lifestyle. But you can't help but try and conflate the two because you believe people might better accept your degenerate life if you share an interest in some pure. Like 4 9's fine.

OP's a faggot and a coward, hiding behind an IP change.

Why to keep threads going -
>reduces the number of archived threads to search through.
>greater chance of finding key words in longer threads.
>Less time when two (or more!) threads are going simultaneously, alleviating
- confusion when someone coming to /biz/ searches for /pmg.
- less switching between the active threads for conversations.
>Filters on IDs of shitposters last longer = more effective.
>Inevitable continued posting in old thread buries the announcing post - makes it harder to find.

Simple: don't create a new thread until after image limit (150) has been reached, and/or bump limit (309) has been reached (and it would still be nice to wait until current thread gets to page 8 or image limit has been reached).
