Max 401k and HSA and try to pinpoint 80k AGI at the end of the year so i can also use the 6grand IRA deduction as well

The only problem is my paychecks will be super tiny and ill barely be on budget or worse.

I have 130k in cash savings so even if im slightly under budget its then like im just transferring my savings into tax advantaged accounts?

Just go with a Roth IRA at that point. If you're maxing out all your tax-advantaged space, that lets you effectively save "more".

And income limits don't apply if you do it as a backdoor, which is pretty straightforward.

Things aren't much different then they were before, they just can't hide it anymore due to the internet and the free flow of information. Keep in mind the stuff you see with congress is just theater. It's meant to captivate retards. The people in washington genuinely represent the US populace, which is a large lot of fucking retards. The politicians however don't actually decide what happens in the country. It's the billionaires behind closed doors. Everything is about money. For instance, the tranny and fag movement is just about money, it's not really about cultural change. Everything is about money. Always has been. Once global business has milked them out of every dollar, they will throw them in the trash. If you aren't a complete normalfag you will survive whatever storm is coming. They will cull the retards and normalfags but people like you will survive and thrive. Everyone thinks people like Klaus want you dead, but in reality they really want the idiots gone, which is why they are so easily baited by the pied piper that is the WEF. If AI is allowed to grow and be implemented to the fullest extent, common sense will rule because AI doesn't have emotion. It doesn't care if some portland tranny is being misgendered, it will just exterminate them. When Klaus talks about the 4th industrial revolution, he is talking about a world where people deserving of success will obtain it very easily. Unfortunately there aren't many people deserving of it.

Unironically zoom out - it doesn't seem that way. Historically, it seems to have traded in a 5.50 to 8.00 channel. Nov 17th had the "first sell off" and it went parabolic in August, and has now returned to the mean. If it was being "aggressively shorted", then you'd see a huge volume spike every few weeks and corresponding downward pressure. This is just a slow bleed off, like everything else. Ergo, if you still liked the company, you could accumulate now while it does its normal price action.

I've changed my mind. I imagine this larper has long since gone to sleep, but I'll give these shitposts the courtesy of a real response so that you some of you nighttime posters can view a concrete example of real balance sheet analysis, rather than merely hearing generic redirection to self-help books and Berkshire Hathaway annual reports. While understanding cash flows and balance sheets can help give you confidence in the fundamental story behind a trade, it's important to note that in the end the only fact that really matters is whether you can sell shares for more than you paid for them. Alternatively, you'll have to wait until capital returns someday force a payout exceeding your basis.

Lets dig in...

>The company had ~4.5B in cash and ~6B liabilities
These numbers are strictly false. IG ports most recent quarterly report from the timeframe where I made my trade was their Q3 2022 statement, where total recorded liabilities were substantially smaller at 4.4b total. There is no reason to look at outdated numbers from a previous year's annual report when quarterly numbers are easily available. For clarity, these numbers are all in yen which depending on the exact exchange rate at the time was somewhere around $30-35 mil USD equivalent. This is a microcap.
Cash is fairly accurate, but to be more precise it was sitting at 4.8b at that time.

The stock when I entered my position was trading at a share price of 1020 yen against ~5 million shares outstanding. Total market cap: ~5 billion yen

On the surface it may appear to be a pretty balanced cash position. Cash exceeds total liabilities by 400m yen, but that doesn't appear to be such a big surplus. This is where it gets interesting.

>the liabilities consist of taxes that have yet to be paid, accounts payable to other companies for services already acquired, advances received and reserved director bonuses
This is true, but there's a key element being obfuscated here. More on that soon..

AND WELL FUCKING DO IT AGAIN! forget about pox! i swear to L. Ron Hubbard we are going to eat off this virus. hear me now, stage 1:

THE WHEELS ARE ALREADY IN MOTION. WE WILL MASS-VAXX POULTRY. THAT REQUIRES VACCINES OFC. WORKERS MUST JAB EACH CLUCKER INDIVIDUALLY. THUS RISKING EXPOSURE AND REQUIRING PCR TESTING. UNDERSTAND?

> Later this month, European Union (EU) member states will be able to vaccinate poultry against highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) under newly harmonized regulations.
Scheduled to come into effect on March 12, the new rules are in line with international standards developed by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH; formerly OIE).

> The Biden administration, keeping a watchful eye on an outbreak of avian influenza that has led to the deaths of tens of millions of chickens and is driving up the cost of eggs — not to mention raising the frightening specter of a human pandemic — is contemplating a mass vaccination campaign for poultry, according to White House officials.

oh and prepare for more lab leak theories...... that is going to be fun! i wonder if skitzos will stop buying chickens when we vaccinate them?

> One of the mutations Kawaoka found in the hemagglutinin molecule may already be helping the virus adapt to humans. In Egypt, 219 H5N1 viruses taken from birds had the mutation, called N158D, while 87 H5N1 viruses isolated from birds did not. All 46 H5N1 viruses isolated from humans carried the mutation, suggesting that the genetic change is important for the virus to infect humans.

this thing only needs a handful of mutations and then it is time for stage 2 of the avian aids trade: human treatments/vaccines. stage 2 is bad hence the unprecedented shit about vaxxing poultry. how poetic will it be for the black swan to be avian aids? i declare my siggas: we are now birdfags!

>>53991931 continued..

>advance payments
>deposits received
This is the secret sauce. These make up the bulk of their "liabilities". These are primarily anime bluray pre-orders, plus production contracts. It varies from quarter to quarter depending on the success of their most recent anime releases, but on this quarter it was sitting at 2b. It's important to understand these. Pre-orders go up while an anime is still airing - the work has not yet been done. However, they're also staggered, with some of the final blurays for a series made available months after the series/season has concluded. These things are typically sold in sets of 2 episodes for around 7-10k yen.
Obviously advanced payment for a product cannot be treated as unencumbered cash, because the product must be finished, created and shipped..

Luckily, it's not treated as cash. They account for this in assets under separate line items, depending on the state:
>work in progress
Unfinished productions will show up here. This is the accumulated effort of a conversion of those advance payments into a finished product.
>notes receivable, accounts receivable and contract assets
These are all lumped together as one line item. Really conservative accounting may ignore accounts receivable, although its worth noting that they do exist - if you're going to treat payables as a liability against net cash (you should), then it's useful to recognize that receivables also exist, but again if being conservative you could ignore them.
>notes receivable
These are short term loans, the difference being that there's explicit timeframes and interest owed on these. To be conservative you could ignore these, but they're effectively cash.
>contract assets
This is the 2nd key item. This is the recording of an asset on balance matching those advance payments received.

Due to the consolidation as one line item, none of this shows up on sites like yahoo finance. Funny that while noting that yahoo finance fucks up liabilities, the financial genius larper failed to recognize that it also fucks up current assets. These flaws are important to be aware of when evaluating companies. It's best to look at actual reports directly at least as a final pass, although that can be difficult when the reports are only posted in Japanese. If you need help, you can feed pdfs into google translate to get a workable translation of the basic data. Most decent companies value attracting foreign investors though, so oftentimes there's an English version of reports available.

Depending on how conservatively you want to calculate the net cash or current assets, the exact calculation will vary.
A more conservative view ignoring the calculus between accounts payable and receivable will come up with 2.4b in "real" liabilities, against the 4.8b cash for a net cash value of 2.4b. This would value the residual company at 2.6b.
If looking at net current assets as a whole, the calculation becomes 3.2b of net current assets. In my opinion this is the more useful metric, given the way the balance sheet is structured.
Either way, there was a clear undervaluation at that moment in time. No need to be pedantic about the specifics of the terminology I previously used as part of a vague description of a trade that was made a year ago.

In the end, none of this truly matters. Someone can completely fuck up the fundamental picture and still profit on a trade. This happens all the time. Still, it does help to have confidence knowing that the liquidations and panic selling you're buying into are total nonsense. It's much easier to profit off volatile swings when you have a solid feel for your own margin of safety.
This was a smaller trade on my end, only about $5k in profit for an ~60% return. Just an example the benefit following niche companies

How do I get my husband to stop going ‘Rabbit Chad Mode’ during sex? TLDR; My husband says ‘Rabbit Chad Mode activated’ when we start to have sex, growls and acts like a caveman, and then says ‘Rabbit Chad Mode off’ when we stop, and then pretends not to remember afterward. I really love my husband and he’s always been great in bed. But recently he’s been acting really weird. So, a couple of days ago, my son went on a rampage through our house and said he was in ‘Rabbit Chad Mode’. We didn’t really know what to do with him, so we sent him to live with my parents so he can go to a special needs school. My husband a really great relationship with our son and loved him more than anything. Naturally, he was upset when he had to leave. He’s an incredibly tough man, but this was the first time I’ve ever seen him cry. I think since then, he’s been a little emotionally unwell. I’ve heard him muttering, 'Red Rabbit token' repeatedly when he didn’t notice me, staring blankly into his food, and just going alone by himself to do who knows what. I feel awful for him, but we both agreed that this was for the best. Last night, the day after our son went away, we decided to have sex to relieve our stress. However, my husband said ‘Rabbit Chad Mode activated’, starting growling, and went wild having sex with me. Admittedly, it was some of the best and most experimental sex I’ve ever had, but I’m worried that something might be going on with my husband. Any advice?

Sure but smallpox is one of those "apocalypse put" deals that, by definition, can't pay out. If we get to the point where more than, say, 1000 people need to be vaccinated, and congress rushes to throw emergency funding at it, that's game over for every stock on the NYSE (and a double digit percent of humanity). Meanwhile, SIGA is just ticking along, staying alive on account of non-emergency pox funding.

However with bird flu we have some fearmongering and pre-emptive dollars spent on it. Hundreds of millions of vaccines bought for chickens every year going forward, something like that. That's investable.

First, add the current price of the call to the strike price of the call. In your case, that's $244.90. Yet the price of NVDA is 232.88. This means that your call still has about $1,200 of extrinsic value left. If you roll or buy back, you will have to buy back that value. As a covered-call seller, your strategy is to sell extrinsic value, not buy it. The call is also not expiring for 3+ months. I would absolutely wait for now, and let that extrinsic value drop, either because NVDA drops, or because of the passage of time.

Got the most basic version of my backtester finished. It's pretty fucking crude but my goal is to fully automate a bruteforce backtesting beyond what websites allow.

Anyways, as a proof of concept
>Wait until 5 minutes before markets close to buy or sell
>Look at N candles back, equal to Offset, to compare % changes
>If the close is >= entry% (eg up 1 or 2% from the other candle) then buy
>If the close is <= entry% (eg down 1 or 2% from the other candle) then short
>If the price moves against you by exit%, then close all positions

This was done on the SPY over the last 500 sessions, and like I said is very crude, but this is a great starting point and I can't wait to see how this looks a month or two from now (eg, being able to tweak multiple variables and indicators)

We'll see a crash but not until rate hikes break something which we are slowly starting to see the stress fractures form.

We're not going to see a Covid or 08 type crash though. Nore like 2001-2003 which was arguably more devastating to the American economy as it killed the industrial sector for almost 2 decades. Or the 80s Volker shock which was the worst recession since the Great Depression.

The funny thing is during these times Foreign companies outperform the US market. But the top companies in the US market are extremely globalized meaning they won't see the same level of pain as less globalized Large Caps, Mid Caps and Small caps. However this won't be reflected in the NASDAQ or S&P because their main float are globalized companies.

Now if APPL and AMZN collapsed market would fucking die but if those maintain strength or even become safety positions then we could see a Quiet Crash where from the outside markets look fine because the Indexes look good but under the hood the US economy has collapsed.

Still buying so it's bot like I care too much. I buy VT and SCHD. I bet my monopoly money on the World and Big Fat Divvys.
