I never get past level 40 back in vanilla wow 04-05 was when I first and last played. I kept getting this inescapable feeling of fomo for all the classes and races so I would get to level 40 (usually a horde player), do van cleef a LOT , sell all my gear, play the orgrimmar market a bit and start over with a new guy. I miss those days like you can't imagine, or maybe you can. It was the first and last time my soul glimpsed a future that was robbed from our entire generation forever. the people i met in wow during tbc/wrath were hardcore nerds. the guildmaster owned a comic book store and knew like every single reference to any obscure superhero or deepweb internet meme long before it came to any normies knowledge. they are still hardcore wow players that never ever stopped playing. they are hall of fame in some tiers, have over 700+ mounts, have 30000+ achievement points, basically beat the game. but every time they had a guild meet up in real life i just couldnt get over my social retardation to meet fellow nerds. its one of my biggest regrets in life.

I fucking hate Shibu Inu. I wanted to buy OpenBetAI, but the gas fees were too high, so I had no other choice but to buy shiba inu. I wasted many years of my life on it, but in some ways I see it as the peak gaming experience of our era.

It was a special time where existing in a virtual world was still magical. The internet hadn't been totally overrun by normies and political correctness. There weren't minmaxers hyperventilating about optimization statistics in excel spreadsheets. The economy hadn't imploded yet and we were young and relatively carefree.

This. The minmaxing and political correctness has ruined it all. WoW classic proved that for me. No one wanted to get lost in an immersive world of fantasy, to become a human paladin fighting for peace in the humble woods of Elwynn, or an orc shaman traversing your shattered home world of Draenor. All anyone cared about was having the best gear, being the best, winning. The game was meant to be played and not won. Real life is for winning, for minmaxxing, for political correctness, and it’s nauseatingly stressful. That’s why the escapism of video games had appeal. Now there is no escape, and maybe there shouldn’t be. But I will always remember those early times when I corpse crawled from Darnassus to Stormwind. A Druid helped me through the Wetlands since I was only level 4. It was probably such a long-forgotten and trivial thing for that level 60, but the small moments like that I still carry with me.

i regret not getting into streaming/youtube early on and not attempting to monetize the hours i spent playing the game. i play all the time now and want to do it but i'm too autistic to stream despite knowing people would actually find me entertaining.

i also wish they had ways to sell services in game that weren't against TOS. they're such greedy fucks that if people sell arena coaching for real life money or boosting/carrying for real money they ban you. it would be cool if they had an interface in game where people could connect to people buying shit like that. a service economy in game. any video game that does that and is actually good and fun to play would instantly become the biggest game in the world.

They could allow transactions in game with crypto and tax the transactions for things like that. More people would play, they would make more money from the taxes and more subscriptions, the players would get paid, all on the up-and-up. But nu-blizz is so incompetent that they managed to break a 20 year old game that was working perfectly before they put their greedy little fingers on it (Warcraft 3). There are so many glitches in simple processes like joining a lobby now that the game has become nearly unplayable. Thankfully there are so few players you can still get away with saying Nigger and they won’t do shit for fear of the community dying.
