How do I safely withdraw from 12-18 beers (sometimes 2-3 bottles of wine) a day to save money (and my health)?

This time really is for and about you I have a really soft spot for fellow addicts
> My experiences with withdrawal was shakes, depersonalization, couldn't eat or drink food water, sweats, confusion, delirium, mood swings and more.

I never had it that bad. 2-3/day, not enough to get actual physical withdrawal, but enough that I started gaining the kind of weight I didn't want after 30. I swapped to la croix just to have the feeling of something drinky in my mouth. Now I just drink regular water or tea and have a nice scotch Sunday evening.

How many days to get over it?

>> No.53975720

Drink one less beer every 2 days.

So by day 2 you're drinking 17 a day, day 4 you're drinking 16 a day, and so on until zero. Introduce some discipline into your life. Your body will thank you. Give your liver a chance to heal itself otherwise you'll die a terrible, painful, slow, EXPENSIVE death. Those are your options.

Pregabalin, gabapentin, benzodiazepines will help
Kratom might take the edge off
You would be better off getting an ounce of shrooms or some DMT/Ibogaine. After doing a huge amount of psychedelics, quitting substances becomes exponentially easier, even more so when combined with good counseling sessions to integrate the trip and lessons learned.
Just the fact that you’re doing something about it says a lot
Good luck anon, I know you’ll make it

He's right, I just assumed op didn't have access to benzos... But they act on the same receptor sites that alcohol effects that are responsible for withdrawal symptoms and can/do prevent seizures.

Look into Kratom. Stopped boozing as much and still feel content and am able to stay productive. It's gives a little warm glow that you'll lose if you abuse it but it kills off the urge to drink & do drugs. Wonder plant if you treat it right.

>> No.53976099

>>53976048
For that amount of booze I'd worry he may need medical help through the withdrawal. But for cravings, kratom really does help knock the edge off. I've never taken antabuse, but my experience was that a low dose of kratom did successfully kill the "euphoric" sensation of rising-BAC and thus accentuate the undesirable depressive effects in isolation. kinda numbed the anxiety-gremlin that says "we need a drink". at least in my experience.

Start buy cutting from 12 to 6 beers. Only buy a 6pack when you're at the store. No buying extra beer.

Take a bunch of NAC, helps with addiction. If anything just lower your alcohol intake by 10% per week round up to the fullest serving of alcohol.

Do not do any drugs to help get off booze. Get medical help weaning off.

I spent 11 days in a coma after drinking and Xanaxing to death, then withdrawals, then learning how to walk again.

Get medical help.

At a certain point it's not an option anymore.

You drink 6 beers and don't feel anything, so you start drinking 8 beers then you don't feel anything, then you start drinking 10, 12, 14, etc.

Checked two 99 dubs above.
Most people do not know you can actually die from alcohol withdrawl. You cannot die from pill withdrawl symptoms though even though they suck. Please, be very careful anon and get medical help.

I drank around the same amount as you (maybe slightly less, but not much). If you wake up suddenly out of bed early in the morning after a night of drinking with your heart pounding out of your chest, this is a big warning. Please, be careful. Honestly some of the scariest times of my life. I used some low grade anxiety meds to help with shakes. Gas can build up. All of this stuff combined can cause what may seem like panic attacks. Hopefully they are (and many doctors will tell you that's all it is). Be honest with the insane amount of alcohol you drink with your doctor. I have friends who would tell their doctor a lower number of drinks for some odd reason. Do not do that. Be honest and get the help you need. Again, you can die from alcohol withdrawl when you drink at the levels you are referring to.

Join one of those AAA groups, or the drug rehab groups with even more fucked up people who are trying to get off heroin and shit like that. My brother had an alcohol problem and seeing how even more fucked up the other people were around him motivated him to quit alcohol cold turkey. That, and he did become a Christian.
