Real shit, what's the point if you're not even holding it? I thought the entire point was that you have the metal in your physical possession. Entrusting a bank to have "your" gold stored for you defeats the entire purpose of why many people stack.

I’m sitting on a few hundred oz silver. I think silver is due for a run up in the next few years, and when I does I plan to turn most of it into gold at a more favorable GSR. Whether that’s 60 to 1 or 40 to 1 or 15 to 1 is up to too many variables, but in the meantime I’m just stacking roughly equal values of gold and silver.

Ha. We can barely get updates on the boomer round. Boomer might be shipped in 1-2 months. Don’t forget the presale was in October. So you’re looking at another 6 months for crusader. Mintanon doesn’t do updates even though he has his own site for that. But he was on here earlier giving excuses as to why he won’t touch frensmark. So he does have the time to update the site. He just won’t because he thinks the people who helped design and fund the round are not worth 5 minutes per week of his time.

If someone comes in here and says they want to put 100k into PMs they will get told twenty different things to buy, including all kinds of retarded fucking coins and collectables. Which is ironic, because unlike crypto or stonks where there are indeed 1000s of possible things to buy, here we are basically talking about ONE investment: gold.

As I said in the last thread, 2023 eagles at the absolute cheapest right now are at $30-32. Generic is at $23-24. If you bought eagles before the huge spike in premiums, you are still doing very well. Premiums have dropped a bit, but silver has been very quite and nothing moves in a straight line. In the next run up, the premiums will continue to rise. No reason to think they won’t. Especially as economy deteriorates and physical silver supply/demand gets lopsided. Overall, eagles are always a good buy. Best to mix it in with other lower premium coins and rounds. This is true for literally any historic coin. Millions were minted regardless. The reason coin stores don't carry a ton of them is because nobody goes into a coin store looking to buy five double eagles. Every coin store has at least two and maybe a few more in the back You don't need a ton of inventory for those. You would have a point if you were referring to semi-key or key dates.

As for selling eagles, you sell on the private market. You act as though reselling generic doesn’t suffer from the same issue. The difference is that eagles are extremely liquid. Selling on the private market is easy and you’ll get near dealer prices minus a dollar or two. Selling generic is actually harder to recover your premium. Everyone wants to offer spot for generic. The great thing is that my claims are easily verified. Go back and look at prices In 2019-2020. For us seasoned stacker, eagle premiums used to be $1-1.50 more than generic. Not kidding. Because everyone knows the US Mint is being sabotaged from within. They run at something like 20% max capacity, that's why the premiums on ASE are so insane. But at any moment they could start to ramp up production, and if they vomit ASEs at 100% capacity, guess what will happen to the premium?
The scarcity on those coins is completely artificial. We can debate on why they are doing this (deterring US citizens from getting their hands on silver, preparing the terrain for CBDCs, simply an awful management since they went full woke, etc..), but the risk will always stay the same : at any time, if the government decide so, they have the industrial capacity to produce way more ASEs.
It's too much of a gambling desu. You can decide to ignore this fact, but the damocles sword will be there, ready to nuke your artificial premium.

I disagree. the US mint has cited production issues AND sourcing issues in the past couple years. Your theory is just a theory without any evidence. It actually comes off as wishful thinking on your part. I really don’t think they will be able to flood the market with eagles. In the next big run up for silver, eagles will be the first off the shelves like they were in 2020-2021. The mint will again have sourcing issues and there will be a shortage of eagles relative to the dam and. If the economy deteriorates at the same time, it’s a perfect storm and eagles will come out on top. People looking to safeguard their wealth will buy eagles. Not asahi rounds. Eagles are so liquid in the US, it’s stupid not to own them. Like I said, if you bought before the huge jump in premiums, you are doing very well. A few vocal people here really suffer from irrational hatred of eagles. the lurkers here see my well reasoned arguments and the schizo anti-eagle posting. They can make up their own minds.

And I have to say, It’s really weird to come into this thread and tell everyone how the silver they bought will be worth instantly less the minute they go to sell. “Oh that $25 round you bought? It’s actually worth $20.” It kind of makes all silver investments look really shitty if you go buy dealer buy prices. Even generic rounds had 25-50% premiums in the last year. You’re telling everyone here that they just lost a minimum 25% of their investment.

He's incapable of acknowledging any of the many instances over the past year where he's been BTFO, like a Jew he forgets all about it the next day and repeats the same shit like nothing happened, maybe at best pretending like he actually never shilled $40 ASE's above anything else countless times and instead "always advocated for a balanced stack" which we know is a lie. >> No.53962960

And one last point. If you are saying that dealers will cheat you (they will), it’s an even better reason to buy eagles. If it’s a necessity to sell on the private market (it is), you’ll want a highly liquid round like the eagle. Even junk silver would be great to own. It’s also super liquid on the private market. I’ve never tried to sell generic, but I imagine you’ll have a harder time than selling eagles on the private market. Again, can’t stress enough that it’s best to be well diversified.

The scandal will still tarnish the Perth Mint name, making bars and coins from there might end up reselling for less merely by association.
Historically, once a Mint got a reputation for doing any amount of debasing (i.e. Potosi), people would refuse to accept coins they made regardless of whether or not they were debased. Things are certainly different today, the mindset of distrust still exists to some extent.

P33 coins are generally low mintage, or low survivorship, hence the premiums. Ive found slabbed AU coins trade fairly close to raw, except you get a holder and a guarantee. MS coins get pretty expensive really quick, especially on 2s and 5s. You're not going to find a raw MS coin for those at this point, especially from a dealer. The key date high grade coins are more investment pieces because of the scarcity. Saints are the real bargain, they trade much closer to spot. Higher grade MS coins can be had for reasonable premium in common date coins.

Can you share a link to the sale page for that furnace? Is it a small one for propane torches? Due to the density difference and 300°C lower melting point you will get more relevant practice experience melting and casting using old junk sterling, maybe even playing with lead which is similar in density. Thats the whole point of this reset, western Countries whether they like it or not are going to be forced to back their currencies with gold, silver, commodities whatever, that means the currency they use will be stable and things will become cheap/easily affordable again.

We'll have more inflation/hyperinflation until that happens but its going to happen and in order for it to happen they have to revalue Gold/Silver much higher so technically silver could hit 5000 and bread maybe not as cheap as it is now still could only be 10-20 at the most.

>Asked whether it was possible that China and Russia would abandon the U.S. dollar and euro for bilateral trade, Qin said countries should use whatever currency was efficient, safe and credible.
>China has been looking to internationalise its currency, the yuan, which gained popularity in Russia last year after Western sanctions shut Russia's banks and many of its companies out of the dollar and euro payment systems.

I wouldn't mind at all, I have a nice garden and am good at foraging for wild esculents. I'd pay off every mortgage and loan my friends and family hold and still be able to slurp 2nd-hand cheapies thanks to the distortions in the market from normies not keeping their asking prices current with inflation. >Search for 6kg gas melting furnace smelting. I would play about with silver but I know nothing except what I saw on youtube and Im afraid of losing valuable metals

OK thanks anon. You may want a smaller ~1kg crucible for pouring smaller things, a bigboi 6kg crucible is good for big stuff but you'll make a mess trying to pour fiddly little bits of jewelry. If you've never melted any metals before then yeah definitely experiment with your aluminum and copper and whatnot first, make sure you have something to stir and skim off dross slag and get some flux powders to help clean the melt batches. Also with a gas furnace you need to avoid using graphite crucibles, they'll oxidize and "burn" and fail on you.

>Strange that it would burn, when they supplied it with the furnace. What kind do I need? some kind of ceramic?

Graphite crucibles are probably cheaper and easier to manufacture and are good for electric furnaces, but if you get the oxidizing gas flame on a graphite crucible then it'll eventually burn holes through it, so yeah I think you'll want other crucible options. You'll need to have separate crucibles only used for one type of metal, as beads of metal from prior batches will often remain stuck inside and contaminate subsequent batches of other metals. Not a problem when you're just playing and learning about the process but when you get into silver melting you want some dedicated gear.
