I can give you some friendly advice.

1. Don't ever ruin your credit. It's the most important thing you'll ever have in your life. Don't listen to retarded debt-maxxers. That shit will follow you around forever.

2. If you're interested in getting married, find a woman in your early 20's and be married before you're 30. Life gets a lot harder when you try and find women that aren't complete used up whores after that ,but to be honest, it's entirely possible that zoomer women are beyond saving sadly.

3. Don't spend your money like a fucking retard when you're young. The only shit you will have at retiring in clown world is to start investing conservatively as soon as possible. In my early 20's I blew all my money on clothes, booze, and women, and have nothing to show for it now.

That's literally it. If you follow those 3 rules you'll live a long, happy, successful life.

Don't assume that you can overspend since you are still young. The sooner you achieve financial freedom, the better prepared you will be for an existantial crysis (or you might avoid it if you are not forced to slave away to surve).
Take opportunities when you see them. I would have twice as much money right now easily if I wasn't raised to be a loyal cuck. My peers were raised to care about themselves and were makign twice as much money as I did for years.
Don't wait for houses to get cheaper. I always did in order to avoid mortgage. If I took a loan 10 years ago I would already pay everything back. Currently I'm in situation when I'm close to buying a house with cash, but house prices went up 100% in the last decade. So I'm at loss anyway.
You are here forever

I heard this narrative for over 10 years now. I'm surprised people still think that system will collapse for logical reasons. Financial systems do not run according to laws of physics. the best investment you can make in life is getting right and keeping right with the Lord. No, I am not making this shit up as a cliche boomer saying. Think about it. It can't be stolen from you, you can't default on it, it'll keep you on the straight and narrow and it pays non-taxable dividends. You might laugh and dismiss this and move on, but you can make all the money in the world yet you can't buy a good conscious. This world will eat you up and spit you out, my God if you're only late 20s you are a baby. Fear the Lord and know that wickedness in this realm has no limits, the battle for your life has not even begun

Thanks anon. I'm just getting out of grad school with no girl so it'll be tough to find one worth a shit. But I'm willing to try. My only beat is to use hinge and filter by degree type. I need someone that knows the struggle so we both don't overspend but I fear the only available women left on the dating apps either in grad school or with a graduate degree are fat or have some other red flag. My only in-person beat is a rec sports league
I have (probably permanent) financial PTSD from being a broke grad student and I don't think I'll ever allow myself to spend like a moron.

I think my biggest challenge will be when and how I buy my first home. I have no problem saving up a down while I pay the minimum on my student loans. But shit, I genuinely don't think homes will ever get cheaper. The only thing that gets built nowadays are soulless five-over-one rentpods.

Man I tell you what, of all the stocks I picked for my son, the one that has *surprised* me the most has been ALL. I *do not* recommend buying it right now, but it is *well* worth keeping in your watchlist and scooping on a dip for long term portfolio holding. It takes some pretty good sized hits from time to time, but always rebounds pretty quickly and strongly. The last big hit was due to the winter storms not long ago, payouts for damage, but it's already rebounded from that. It has become his strongest performer over the last 12 months (but not overall, ALL was one of his first 3 stocks at the beginning of the program in Feb 2021).

I mentioned DE yesterday and someone commented that it has "retard strength", and that's true, but ALL seems to have even more of that particular quality. A few months ago DE was his overall strongest single stock in and of itself (as opposed to portfolio totals considering share numbers), though.

I wonder how we can convince them. They think we (me and my kind) are all degenerates. They think anyone who is not already WASPy must be swarthy degenerates. The 20th century proved it to them. We Italians, we Irish, we Polish immigrants, we were so easily led astray by the second and third generations. Much like the Asians you see here. We have all been led astray.

But the elder Whites. They contend silently with us. They keep their ways. They even recruit a few Asians along the way. I see these kids and their campuses. I know how they are and how their parents live. It's very quiet and considered and they do not stop moving upward. They drive cheaper cars and own old properties in city neighborhoods which buttress their overall income, but still they keep saving.

I don't know how we can win them over. I don't know if we can anymore. The degenerate culture is so strong and it's been getting stronger for 60 years.

Ah, very interesting, much appreciated. My only knowledge of futures thus far has been taking peeks at them in the attempt to form a sense of where the overall markets might be about to head and that kind of thing. I am nowhere yet near knowledgeable enough to make use of them for particular investments, but am adding to my knowledge constantly.

Perhaps it would've been better to state that it's irrational, rather than "no reason". They do have their own cultural reasoning, but it's pretty irrational from our outside perspective to hold a massive balance in a weakening currency that pays no yield.
Holding some cash is fine, but a lot of these companies with 25-50% or even 90-100% of their marketcap sitting in cash are being pretty inefficient from a shareholder perspective. It's not like they're actively setting a specific cash safety target and then returning excess profits beyond that point. Many of these companies just stack cash for decades and do nothing with it. They'll pay the same static dividend amount, even as profits grow.

look up "curve steepening"

1) If economy keeps doing well and Fed talk remains hawkish then economy going into recession then bullish for long during bonds (20-30Year bond ETF TLT and 3x ETF TMF that tracks it)

2) Fed gives up the fight early and cuts front end rates of the curve then all bond prices rise

so in either case bonds can only go up. Stocks, however can chose to go down before going up so the risk of buying bonds in the next quarter or two is a lot less.
