EWW has been pretty solid for me, it's basically been straight up since Yellen said the words "Friendshoring" and/or based Jamie Dimon hyped up the country. Looking to get into some defense stocks but I feel like it's too late. LMT is obviously the best company of the bunch but it's priced accordingly. The play I've been looking for next is companies with 100% US-based manufacturing, specifically that could fill gaps left by Chinese suppliers getting excluded from the market, but that's pretty hard to find in publically traded stocks and I'm starting to think it may be too quixotic a search.

>>53936249
Well first of all you want to think in timelines of years, not days. And build a solid base of either index funds or bonds so you don't lose it all if you fuck up. After that, it's kind of a free-for-all but at a minimum, have some fundamental justification for why you think the underlying company will make more money. If you don't have that, might as well gamble on crypto.

In order to be totally flat you'd need a spread where the theta decays offset each other in addition to keeping your positions swaying flat. Collars and Seagulls can accomplish this, but they're fuck all complicated. Hedge funds use their algos to perfectly rework their spreads to remain totally covered. SKYT is a good find but as my income is already from STEM memes I try to avoid tech-heavy stocks to avoid concentration risk. Would honestly probably buy it otherwise.

As for finds thus far, to give a general idea, some tickers I have in my notes are ASIX, MLR, AVD, WIRE (last one already pumped a lot) - bear in mind I've only briefly looked over these, and it's possible some might have overseas production I missed on first glance. Still kind of in the "first pass" stage of just finding any companies that vaguely meet what I'm looking for. Basically though, the typical profile in this category seems to be a sleepy small cap that IPO'd in the 90's when it was fashionable and never reverted to a private company but did well enough not to go bankrupt. I am looking for "low-tech", mature, well-understood manufacturing processes that were outsourced to Ch*na purely on cost, stuff like chemicals and physical fabrication. There's honestly a real possibility that the actual play for this is to find what I just described but in Mexico, the Philippines, maybe India but I feel like there's some market for quick-turn & short-run items in the USA which could grow if more trade barriers go up.

If you own 200 shares of a stock and want to hedge the big boy way, because options are so cheap, you would buy two slightly in the money or at the money put contracts for the cost of a mere few hundred bucks. Your put contracts would then be the equivalent to being 400 shares short, but because you paid so little money for them, you profit handsomly on the way down, but if your stock goes up your shares are still profiting as well and you would only be out a few hundred bucks for the puts (assuming buying 2 put contracts isnt more expensive than what you paid for the initial shares).

You can also sell OTM covered calls, which is much safer and conservative.

I use a combination of all available information, but at the end of the day, TA has played the most important role. I chose 5 stocks for my son using the same approach. 3 of them were picked in 2021, and 2 in 2022. He is in a program with strict rules, and they are all longs that must be held. So far, all 5 picks have stayed in the green relatively to original purchase. The 4th, 5th and 6th from the top here are all the same stock where he bought shares over a few day period rather than all at once, so still just 5 stocks here. The one on bottom lost about half its peak value during his time holding it. All of these are down from their previously reached highs. I knew essentially nothing about stocks but just wanted to help him and used TA without even knowing what TA was, and took glances at P/E (didn't know what it was but the program info gave pointers) and EV/EBITDA (same). Killing time. Reading another hentai doujin. This one kinda a play on covid. Instead of you know the whole "death" thing this one only makes you horny all the time. So anyway girl and a dude get trapped in a bus surrounded by "infected" They get the bright idea to fuck on the bus. Seems displays of fucking make the infected go away. So they get to it. Problem is the girl gets infected (how is never said). She fucks the dude to death. Naturally once the fucking is over with the "infected" swarm the bus again. This time instead of being afraid she climbs up on top begs them to come get her. It ends there. You can guess what would've happened if it'd kept going. (cue massive orgy)

It might do a lot of bouncing, but the object (your initial investment) will probably not dip much below the base level, and you can hopefully sell it during one of the times it is flying high. If the overall trend winds up being upwards or downwards then just imagine that the trampoline is on a hill and either sliding down it or being pulled up it by a badass 4x4 with CO-OP farm tread tires.

While META was retarded for a lot of their Metaverse moves, they're still at the cutting edge of AI research and I trust that META / Facebook will do pretty will in coming years when all their non-retarded AI projects are disclosed on earnings calls, etc.

I mean here's the simple point that demonstrates how well META / FB should do over the forseeable time horizon (compared to other tech beta shits):

Every single AI startup / company these days use META's PyTorch framework. PyTorch is so fucking crucial for AI development. TensorFlow is just fucked, it's a pile of shit that is awful to work with

I recently switched from tensorflow to pytorch and i'm frankly very upset ive spent literal days of my life on that pile of shit framework by google. META's PyTorch is amazing

Drivers of rates are expected growth and expected Inflation. Bonds are just loans to govt or people. People want an acceptable real return(that is to say you make money after inflation). The long end of the yield curve remaining low means investors don't believe inflations will become entrenched and long lasting

So what this means is when Bobos thin yield curve Inversion =calamity, they are wrong. It just means short term rates have a huge inflation premium, and long term things don't.

I don't know anything about it at all, but was interested in seeing what you might say. I mean, I know that Tesla bases their autodriving AI on PT but I don't know anything about coding and such. My interest in your reaction is in my own attempt to use the data of (You), anecdotal as it may be, in adding perhaps a piece or few into my own total situational understanding of where all of these players actually are, and where they might be able to go with all of this. I wonder, just potentially, if even a part of the reason that so many base their projects on PT rather than TF is because it is more generally accessible, due to relative lack of sophistication. Again, I have no direct idea whatsoever, but am genuinely curious of these things.

Incidentally, Microsoft text suggestions or writing hints or whatever is generally quite excellent in Edge. It is shocking how often I can just hit "tab" and allow it to complete phrases for me. Purely in terms of direct personal experience with the products themselves as an end user, Microsoft has produced the most impressive results, thus far.

If a diplomatic approach is not working to get Taiwan to renounce its independence which is highly unlikely considering their history then China will take a different approach by launching a full scale invasion.

No, I think it's impossible to deny that fact. Slave labour allowed USA to grow faster comapred to the rest of the world, because cost of labour was much lower.
At the same time, Black people were not able to accumulate generational wealth just like white people did, because they were not compensated fairly. Basically, descendants of Black slaves missed on compounding effect of generational wealth and are now many decades behind descendands of white people, despite contributing to the growth of this country just as much.
It's only fair that they are given an opportunity to catch up using reparations as a tool.

The opposite, slavery was holding the US back. The North depended on the South for sure but the entire country should've been heavily industrialized by that point not just the north east. It was until afterwards the US surpassed Europe economically and socially, even Britain

maybe do this radio-show style and have more intetviews and things without a camera feed. idk rocker, as much as this sucks, it could also be a wakeup call to start new and build back better. is john rocker even your real name? maybe you can just make it official and say "Welcome to the SMG Update and I'm your host Johnny Fathands" with the channel name being "smgreloaded" or some shit

I'm also on some cold meds right now so idk if that's real

Yeah. They're the one's that make you pay to use the shopping cart right? You get the money back but still. Fuck, so many new stores opening up round here it's kinda funny. This isn't a very large city after all. (Supposedly a Target is the next one on the way)

Yeah there is plenty of permabears like him on YouTube even who make money on donations from doomposting addicts.
Another example is Peter Schiff. I have lots of respect for him. Problem is, he is trying to apply reason to unreasonable system. That's why he is constantly caught off-guard with his predictions. In reality, there is lots of political games being played behind closed doors that we are not aware of which have much bigger impact on financial systems than the stuff those YouTubers talk about. At least that's how I see it.
