SPY or VOO are both fine. There are small differences. I guess VOO is a little better for long hold dca strategy. Apparently. I don't know. Spy is best for trading as it has best liquidity. Not that anyone here is moving enough money around that the liquidity of a major ETF is a factor.

It's natural to question the purpose of our lives, even after achieving external success. However, it's important to realize that fulfillment and purpose are subjective, and what brings meaning to one person may not apply to another. Instead of solely focusing on external achievements, explore your personal values, passions, and interests to determine what truly matters to you.

For example, if you value creativity, consider pursuing a hobby or career that allows you to express yourself artistically. If you're passionate about helping others, explore volunteer opportunities or consider working in a field that aligns with your values. Alternatively, if you find joy in connecting with others, make an effort to build meaningful relationships with loved ones or seek out community groups that share your interests.

Remember that purpose can evolve and change over time, and it's okay to experiment with different paths to find what brings you fulfillment. By pursuing what you love and aligns with your values, you can create a life that brings you happiness and a sense of purpose.

It is worth having an E*TRADE account just for the free full access to Bloomberg LIve. I know the /smg/ OP links has a feed for it, but it's that shitty one that has all the data surrounding the show window, and it's a lot lower res. The feeds on YouTube are different too, they do not have the full market day coverage and cut to little side shows and stuff periodically, and the other is the docs. The docs are breddy good too, but I like watching the rotating live global market coverage. After the US markets are done for the day the YT one goes totally to docs. I like the Hong Kong, Australian, and European shifts. I can feel the sun traveling around our ball during it all. Yvonne Man (she will always be a woman) is yummy too (I wonder if her middle name starts with a U?). I am sure that David Ingles has sampled. If you just heard her talking you would think she is the whitest woman that could possibly be.

I am listening to their weekend docs in the background today while working stock screeners and researching company stats.

I have never been in a stock I timed fairly well as I have done with BOIL. Now the question is when do I get out? Some literally who on here said he is sticking in it until mid to late march or early april. How do you know when to get out of a stock in general? When there is consecutive down days with no bounces?

If it bounces off either a 38% or 50% upside retracement as resistance of that previous long downward trend on the Daily Chart, with no signs of being able to continue upward, then it will have exhausted its momentum and its time to take profit. Might take a while though, problem is BOIL is not a long term hold due to rebalancing. You should have bought UNG for long term holding, BOIL is for quick leveraged scalps.

>> No.53934953

When I trend trade, I set my TP at 1.0x ATR and my SL at 1.5x ATR for most assets. The position size should scale to 2% losses at most. This gives a trend time to do its thing.
When you hit TP, you sell half and move the SL to breakeven (or your entry point). That way youve taken money off the table and secured some profits. You are guaranteed a win at this point, now its just a matter of how much.
Ideally you'll have several small wins and losses that negate eachother and 2 or 3 big wins (10-20%) per year per ticker you trade

I am presently only actually *using* Robinhood because I have such a very small amount to invest and I like fractional shares, 1.5% on my cash, and round up contributions on debit card purchases (I do very, very little buying but am trying to absolutely make the most of the little I have), but will start using my E*TRADE account if I can miraculously grow enough to start buying full shares. I might wind up splitting between them if I start doing more day trades, to double my number of trades per rolling 5 day period within PDT rules. I think TDA is going to be locked up once all the accounts get moved over to Schwab, which is sad because the Schwab site is pretty badly limited, and just terrible on mobile (there are no screeners on either the mobile site or app, and the mobile site doesn't scale at all on some pages).

Its a marathon, not a race. I'd rather exit with a 6% win than a 30% loss or a chance at a 50% win. Theres always another opportunity and being consistent is good. Besides, if you did one trade a month that won 6%, thats a huge ROI every year (in terms of the trading capital, not the account).

Literally the way to win is just not lose. Be consistent.
