It’s not a utility coin. It’s payment for when a node validates off-chain data on-chain. I fucked all sorts of things up in that explanation, but I’m not a pro. Basically it’s how the node operators are paid. Similar to how bitcoin miners get paid in bitcoin in exchange for creating a new block.
