It's not a default, since suspending withdrawals is contractually permitted for these funds.
Not that that's much comfort to the people who bought, but real estate is an illiquid asset, and a fund is liquid. Whenever people try to sell a lot, something breaks.

When stocks go down, it's shit, but not that much is levered off them. When bonds go down, and people treat them as money, then money disappears. When money disappears, the one to whom it was owed might default too, because he thought he had money that, it turns out, he doesn't have. And then maybe that guy owes money to someone else, and he takes hit, and so on.

It's an obvious Project Mocking IRD front run, undoubtedly at this point, by CIA and/or NSA.

If you've read the site since 2017, their shift of opinion on crypto (hate to uptake), timing of opinions, and constant batshit alt-right stories timed throughout the week (MyPillow guy shit, etc) makes it clear.

Their daily rundowns on stocks and actual event/data driven news is worth reading but sifting through those "articles" amongst the COINTEL "articles" is worse than reading /pol/.

Tl;Dr - can't afford Bloomberg Terminal.

1pbtid CNN cucks seething.

The value of places like zerohedge is that they will report on facts that don't hit headlines elsewhere. If you aren't a moron you can decide for yourself what the significance of those facts is.

I routinely get news from zerohedge, RT, Moscow Times, CNBC, BNN, CBC, BBC, and Aljazeera, and less commonly from other outlets. Personally I have never once seen zerohedge report false facts; the analysis is often garbage and the language is always inflammatory / melodramatic, but I don't read NEWS for OPINION.

Blackstone isn't filing for bankruptcy. One of their investments will, but that hardly affects the rest of the company.
This is how private equity works, you use debt to purchase a company, and then the company has to pay the debt back. If the company goes under you lose your small amount of equity you put in, if it does well then you make huge returns because the transaction is highly leveraged. This is just one of those companies they bought at very low risk going under.

So since the significance of these facts is immaterial, and their predictions are wrong 100% of the time, what is the collective value of these facts and the analysis they provide? I'll give you a hint

exactly anon. Although I think it's cyclical myself. Good times (low taxes, cheap finance) followed by hard times (high taxes, high interest). I don't think the system is going to collapse. But as history has always shown your dollars today are worth less and less tomorrow. Even if the markets correct themselves, what we earn and what we spend will always be worse than it was for previous generations. I do think things are about to get a lot worse. It's just the tip of the iceberg now. But life goes on. The fed still presses print on the great money printer. Nothing is collapsing.
