Nestle owns Digiorno's, Tombstone and Jack's. Totino's is owned by General Mills. Pretty boring.

However, Red Baron is owned by Schwan's, a major American frozen food maker, family-owned until recently, but now owned by CJ CheilJedang, a Korean publicly traded foods conglomerate. So I'd go for that one.

CJ CheilJedang also owns one other thing that I recognize, Bibigo, a brand of asian ready-to-eat foods that i've seen at Whole Foods and other upscale supermarkets. That kind of stuff has a magnificent margin.

when i was in college in 2012, the Aldi had a $2 frozen pizza that was killer if you baked in an extra 5 minutes past the time it said. I later learned it was a dupe of Jack's basically, but half the price.

They even had supremes with a good amount of toppings for like $2.39, it was basically unbeatable. Used to eat one most days for a good while. I would be heavily invested in Aldi if it weren't private.

None. Every meme company and Silicon Valley boiler room scam that only just became relevant within the past 10 years is going to completely collapse into dust. These companies only came to existence and stayed afloat solely because of the cheap liquidity floating around the markets provided by the Fed's QE. Now that QE is shut off, these companies are absolutely fucking done for. You can also kiss goodbye to other scams birthed by the QE economy of the past 10 years like ESG investing. The wheat is going to be separated from the chaff and only the strong are going survive. If you must go long on something during this downturn, I suggest you start looking for value stocks- the old boring boomer stocks- companies that actually work in the background to keep this country afloat in sectors such as consumer defensives, utilities, energy, healthcare, etc. Whatever you do, stay the fuck away from the tech sector, its going to implode in on itself. Think FTX, but instead of just one company, its dozens if not hundreds.

aldi is just unbeatable. the selection is limited but not really more limited than a typical stop n shop, price chopper, giant, giant eagle type supermarket, and like literally half the price. aldi even beats walmart on most prices except for bulk things. i only started shopping elsewhere becuase i now had money and started to get bored of what they had, so i started going to italian specialty groceries & asian ones instead.

i still occasionally get a hankering for one really specific thing, which is getting 1 aldi sourdough bread boule, a 1lb pack of deli slice turkey, a pack of swiss-flavor american-cheese slices, and any of lettuce/tomato/avocado/mustard that i dont have at home. you can make like 10 big stacked shaggy rogers sandwiches for under a dollar per.

Yes, but what is the ratio of pure relative numbers of bids to asks indicative of, like there are 700 desires to purchase vs 200 desires to sell or such? Obvously from there it would get into are the bidders at all willing to go higher if the stated price (limit orders?) aren't met, which of course can't be answered, but I'm just wondering if I am understanding properly that the number of people interested in buying is that much more than those who have perhaps limit orders to sell? I figure if I am already paying this loss (minus $25 so far, which is a pretty good hit to me) in tuition then I need to be learning from the experience.

If either the bid or ask is a large and stable number, then perhaps it indicates that there's an aggressive buyer/seller setting up a wall. The numbers don't represent unique individuals, it's literally an order for that many shares. Sometimes it represents multiple orders aggregated together at the same price.
In general though I wouldn't look too much into it on popular stocks because there's too much MM/algo trading and usually you can get instant fills somewhere in the middle of the spread.
Sometimes for lower volume names its nice to know there's enough liquidity to support your own buying/selling plans though.

not a thing wrong with that. I've been shilling buying Sega stock (SGAMY) in various geeky places. Mainly pushing the idea that if you own about $1300 in Sega stock, you get free sonic games for life from the dividends (about $60 every five years) - as well as the fact that regular people holding stock in a company prevents hostile takeovers.

No noticeable movement yet but I'll keep going. As for why Sega, people are extremely autistic about Sonic the Hedgehog. Clearly, geek nostalgia had the ability to wrench the needle on GME, and I think a certain slice of people cares 1000x more about Sonic - they're just not people who invest their money, yet, because they're mostly young and weird, and they spend it on merch instead. But a lot of them are in tech, and have enough money to buy all the Sonic merch that's made and plenty left over. I think it has rock solid potential, and it's only about $4 a share at the moment, which is very cheap-looking to regular people imo.

the core concept that you are missing in all of this is equilibrium
that the economy has a natural equilibrium, where there is a certain number of jobs to fulfill the wants and needs of everyone else
however, if a central bank intervenes, and pushes easy credit, prints a ton of money, this equilibrium is disrupted
jobs that otherwise wouldn't have existed come into existence from companies that were able to form in the easy money era 'zombie companies' that don't turn a profit / shouldn't exist in a free market
companies hire more employees than they should, without the central bank meddling
as a result of this, the jobs market falls out of equilibrium with how many jobs there actually should be
employers seeing this think that they need to attract more employees - in order to do so, they offer a wage higher than their competitor - if everyone sees everyone else doing this, they also raise the wages they offer; however, the owners of the business are greedy sons of bitches, and don't want their margins to ever decrease, always want to be making more money quarter after quarter - so what do they do?
they raise the prices on their goods and services they sell, and raise them more than the wages that they raised - so while everyone got a raise, they are paying more for their food, housing, clothing, everything - so in the end, they are making more money in nominal terms, but in real terms they are making less, are poorer, can buy less things overall / their money doesn't go as far
at the same, the people who are getting paid more are able to go out into the economy and demand more goods and services, 'excess demand' more demand than the economy can actually support without central bank meddling
when there is excess demand, suppliers are able to raise their prices, causing inflation to increase
this is a result of central bank meddling
however, one could argue that the potential destruction from covid without their intervention could have been much worse

Not only is this their legal mandate, this is not going to change - it is the optimal inflation rate for stability and growth

Hello,

I was recently laid off while working on a patent filing. The company's patent counsel is proceeding with a factually incorrect rough draft written by a member of the counsel, based on my verbal description. The draft also uses low quality Microsoft Paint drawings, that I had originally created just for the purpose of explaining the concept. Before being laid off, I let the counsel know that the draft needs editing before being submitted, but they appear to be proceeding with application anyway.

I am listed as the sole inventor, and I'm concerned that the issues with the current draft will negatively impact my professional reputation. I haven't signed the release of claims clause yet, but I need to decide about signing the severance agreement in the next few days.

I need advice on what my options are, and what is a good course of action.

Thank you for your help,
Anon Y. Mous

Powell, and many other voting members have explicitly, and angrily have said over and over, that this is not anywhere on the table, this is never going to happen, and basically, 'stop asking about it, it's not going to ever happen, EVER'
>They wouldn't be publishing so many articles with economists shilling the no landing
You need to understand that they see the crash landing and are trying to make it hurt less. It's like if you're snowboarding and realize you're going to wipe out - you can fight it, go rigid, do everything you can to prevent wiping out, and you end up injuring yourself
Or, you accept you're wiping out, try to minimize the injury you take as much as possible, go limp and land in the powder
If they come out and say "Hard landing, recession imminent, everyone panic!" then it makes the recession much, much worse - where it becomes self-fulfilling, where because everyone thinks the economy is shit they stop spending which makes the economy shit.
You should be more concerned, more bearish, that they have come out and are trying to paint this picture of "no landing" - that they are trying to manipulate the public into spending, they are trying to jawbone a soft landing / are hoping to make the hard landing less severe
however, by doing so, they are making the problem worse, where the can is being kicked down the road - by loosening financial conditions, they are making inflation stickier and stickier, which will require more and more aggressive monetary policy
you also need to understand that the market is like a cocaine addict, and will do anything to get the cocaine back, including lie, cheat, steal - be delusional and say "it's really not a big deal, I need the cocaine back, please!" --- it's still an addict, you shouldn't listen to an addict

you need to look back at previous market crashes throughout history, especially ones that followed ridiculous bull markets - ones propped up by a decade of QE
for example
>in early 2001, the dot-com stock bubble started to burst. The NASDAQ peaked at 5,048.62 points on March 10. The index would go on to plummet by 76.81% until it reached a low of 1,139.90 points on Oct. 4, 2002.
>The Dow didn't reach its lowest point, which was 54% below its peak, until March 6, 2009
>The Dow continued to lose value until the summer of 1932, when it bottomed out at 41 points, a stomach-churning 89% below its peak. The Dow didn't regain its pre-crash value until 1954.
25% is relatively small

Well guess what,,,that's not going to be getting better anytime soon regarldess of what they do to reduce prices, what with higher and longer rate hikes on the way. I picture something metallic flake looking, but the novelty alone would draw a lot of buyer attention, regardless of the sheer practicality. He did mention using Teslas as supplementary power systems at people's homes, so in that context the solar panel bodies would make even more sense. I also assume they could wind up with some fruitful and interesting R&D results seeking specifically to beautify the concept. Anyway, some fucking visionary genius.

If they were serious about their mandates they wouldn't have tripled the money supply in one year.
The real mandate is fuck people over as much as possible through unlimited taxation via printer. especially old people who can't contribute to the economy anymore
The reason king clown came out so dovish is because they want inflation to remain at 7% or higher to erode social security's worth. And they can have their monkies readjust how CPI is calculated.
I think they'll fail though, they got too greedy with covid.
