I use Vodafone. Their IT is a cobbled together mess, for years I couldn't even log into my account because they botched tge migration from their previous sxstem (which also sucked). It's plastered with ads and to get to the functionality you want it's like 15 clicks. WHY though. It makes 0 sense. A network is valued based on real observable metrics, like fee revenue. It makes no sense to paint an arbitrary target of "we need to surpass bitcoin's TOTAL marketcap with our CIRCULATING supply."

If the chainlink network makes $1 billion in fee revenue a year, and 500 million tokens are staked, you would expect on average to receive $2/token in staking rewards (excluding node costs and all that). If now 1 billion tokens are staked, that's 2x as many tokens competing for the same fee revenue, you would expect only $1/token in staking rewards. Lower passive income means less incentive to hold, that means a LOWER token price. Staking overall increases the utility, functionality, and value of the network but you should not expect the value of an individual token to increase 100x because 100x more tokens get staked.

A token's price is based entirely on supply and demand. If there are very few left to buy because they are all staked then those who wish to purchase them will face more fierce competition and this drives up price. This is simple economics. The network can work perfectly well with the token priced at almost anything as long as the value of the staked tokens is enough to insure against bad actors by being too valuable to lose by providing bad data. This essentially puts a limit on how lowly Chainlink can be priced, but as for upper bounds there aren't any. 18 decimal places.
