Weird stuff bros.. I bought a silver spoon online and received it today. It looked normal at first, but then i pinged it and it gave me back an arid "bonk", just as it would with tin. Almost plastic tier. Tried under every angle and same shit everywhere.

So i tested it with my touchstone + nitric acid, and it reacted as silver should. I used my jeweler loupe and the hallmarks are legit looking, and the density seems OK, as it's weight and size are matching other similar spoons from the same period.. So i guess i'm safe, but i can't get away from my mind this horrible bonk sound.. I've accumulated plenty of spoons already, so i pinged them individually, and even though the ping varied widly between them, at least i always got this crystaline, resonating sound so characteristic to silver.

It's getting me paranoid, why do only this spoon in particular sounds like tin?
I should mention there is a crack in the bowl, running about 4mm deep. Could it be this crack "absorbing" all the resonance?

I staked it online this evening through the map system, I ve been there many times and even offered the previous owner valueble info in exchange for access to an old favorite spot, but unfortunately he was an ass hole and refused. Now its mine, and he can whine all he wants, he didnt file his assessment work and lost it fair and square.

Pic related, its just up stream from this location i posted a few times last summer. Great ground, cant wait to dig.

do you guys have an acceptable price range for premiums?
generic gold coins I try to land <10% including shipping/taxes/whatever and I've been good at staying between 5-10%, ounces I try getting near spot or a bit over
silver I try to land <15% unless I'm trying to get something gimmicky or <19xFV if I'm going for constitutional
premiums add up!!

Jim Rickards who is one of the people with the best inside knowledge of this reset, for the last 15 years he has been predicting 2025 as the year for a main revaluation, also there are 2/3 other people i listen to who have also predicted around this year, also for the last few months ive been hearing China and America are preparing for war with each other by 2025 so that would point to the year that the manipulators can only keep the price controlled to.

Although i do think we'll see price increases this year and next its looking like we're in for another 2 years at least for any real revaluation and even then that might be just the first and that we see multiple revaluations in the months and years after that.

But we all knew this would be a long term thing and thats how we have to continue to think, if it happens much sooner see it as a bonus.

You can read “Theory of Money and Credit”.
Yes, the banks are the ones “Printing” most of the money in the form of debt issuance. The banks do not have the money to lend anyone. They are merely authorized to create the money to lend at interest.
Monetary policy is to lend as much as possible without breaking the utility of your token. When you’ve lent too much, try not to lend as much and get some of that debt repaid which should cool things off.

Your question is confusing so I'm going to answer it in a different way that should help you understand what is going off.

Central & commercial banks create currency to someone who wants to lend it. This fictional money goes into a real economy (which are all the workers & production) for a set period of time with interest. Where does that interest come from? It comes from more currency being created by the central and commercial banks which keeps the system perpetuating itself, like a bicycle riding down hill. Eventually the real economy begins to slow down, but a self perpetuating currency creation system cannot slow down which will eventually cause it to crash. The only way to save a currency is something called quantitative tightening where central banks have to erase the excessive currency quantity to match the real economy. Problem is it causes even more slowdown in the real economy as there's little liquidity coming from the banks. Raising interest rates is a way to keep the currency flowing while allowing banks to erase excess currency. In theory in a booming economy you would set the interest rate at 2% but in a declining economy you set the interest rate at 4% and destroy 2% of it so the currency craws back its imaginary value. Thing is, people are stupid & politicians promise things they can't pay for to stay in power so end up kicking the can down the road. The real death blow to currency creation is a retracting economy. The covid lock downs did this. It shut off the real global economy (little production, workers not working) but the deadline for returns on interest as well as the insane currency creation has created the biggest inflation pool the world has ever seen, all thanks to the banks & governments. Now the central banks have to do a balancing act of higher interest rates, but it looks like the system has gone past the no return phase, the bike is falling apart, but the end of the crash is probably going to take 10 years to get there

You don't get my question anon. I'm asking why buy back bonds. If the government wants more currency, it will just borrow from the central bank. Bonds are about governments lending currency off the public with the promise of returning that back with interest. Repossession is a government putting bonds on the market only to then pull them back, effectively making the action pointless.

I think I need to elaborate further to explain why I'm asking this. Basically bond yields have been low for quite some time, meaning the interest governments pay bond buyers is low. But now with higher interest rates which would make them super attractive to bond buyers, the government buys back those bonds. Now to me this looks like the government doesn't want to pay higher yields, but why put them on the market in the first place only to pull them back straight away. I imagine it is because for some reason a government must legally put a certain amount of bonds on the market each year, so buys back half to stop the now higher interest rate yields from crippling the government's liquidity. But again, this comes back to my point that governments can just borrow more from the central bank. The whole thing is just weird.

Where the FUCK can I buy a 2 Rand and a 20 Franc Rooster for a decent price without getting HORSEFUCKED by taxes in California? I don't want to have to spend $1500 just because I want a ~$375 coin. I've tried and it's impossible to buy these without getting raped in one way or another.
All the dealers that don't charge sales tax have absurd premiums on these coins, so your only viable option would be to find an LCS that ignores/skirts the law (which is pretty common in my experience) that happens to carry the exact coins you're looking for (very rare in my experience).
I'd tell you to stop being poor, but if you're spending $1500 in one go, it would be cheaper to buy a full oz at that point.

Lemme make it simple for you:

Fiat currency (like the dollar, Euro, and pound) have value because the Jew bankers and governments say they have value.

This means that fiat currency can be conjured up out of nowhere.

This would normally be okay if the supply of fiat doesn't outstrip the supply of goods and services.

But the Jew gets too greedy, prints too much currency, and we get inflation.

Inflation erases the value of currency.

The Jew is trying to keep the illusion going for as long as possible.

Buy gold and silver, and wait.

The Chinese fake the packaging too. No dealer is going to buy a gold bar in reliance on some cardboard and plastic package. They will test it with a sigma machine or xray. The packaging is, at best, irrelevant to a determination of authenticity. That having been said, a dealer might pay a little more for gold in the package (assuming it doesn't interfere with his testing) on the grounds that a customer might pay more when buying it from the dealer. But anyone who relies on packaging for authentication is going to get burned.

I remove my gold from packaging regularly.

there are loads of deposits out there that could be mined, Alexco (which just got bought out by Hecla mining) in Keno Hill Yukon is sitting on one of the largest silver lead zinc deposits out there. The issue is that these deposits are getting harder to find, their smaller than the old ones, and their often more difficult to mine or access due to remote locations. Add in the decade of little mine building that happened and its a perfect storm for metals to sky rocket. Copper is in the same boat, zinc too. We simply didnt see any major investment into new untapped mines.

I don't see how we can avoid hyperinflation.
US put controls on Iraqi banks for ties with Iran, so now Iraq is selling oil for yuan.
Washington keeps blustering about Chinese support for Russia.
China has drawn down its US treasury holdings and is now directly criticizing US (mis)use of dollar as reserve currency.
We keep pouring tens of billions down the drain in Ukraine not to mention all the other waste.
The system is boned. Our leaders don't know how to respond outside of doubling down on the same mistakes they make again and again.

The 1930 video on sterling silver manufacturing anon shared yesterday hit me in the feels:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDkahltwoyM
>Silver; a credit to its owner, a fortune in time of need, and a precious inheritance for coming generations
Too few people today appreciate the antique sterling that they inherit, besides old coins it's my favorite stuff and so much junk mass-produced silver along with special handmade articles have been scrapped in the past 100 years that the quality pieces have become quite rare. Because of the wartime disruptions and periods of privation in Europe even more there has been lost or melted. There's a book by the archaeologist Ivor Noel Hume "All The Best Rubbish" where he talks about his childhood observations in England in the 1940s and how medieval books and priceless ancient furniture were used as fuel and cellars full of treasures under bombed out ruins got crushed and buried for new construction, no one cared about saving any of it. The losses of historical heritage, libraries, archives and fine art in Europe were incalculable, it makes me seethe whenever I think about it.

Anyway I found a more modern video on the creation of Gorham sterling silverware which is worth a watch too:

Brainlet here, someone can answer these 2 posts?
The only explanation I can find on my own, without any economical studies, but it might be wrong (!), is
>they want to avoid more inflation so they don't want to borrow from the central bank
>they cannot issue more bonds as nobody buys them with a low interest rate, instead they'll have to sell bonds with a very high interest rate (the interest has to be paid in the future, in a more inflated currency which, again as first point, they want to reduce its quantity) and they don't want to sell too many at high interest, but to sell many at low interest and this doesn't happen
>they can buy existing bonds which have low interest cheaply, they give a fixed amount of currency to the seller which doesn't gain more interest to him (so the inflation is lower over time as that interest isn't awarded to someone outside their control), while the interest paid by the government on the bond stays within the government which is low
I guess it's a mechanism to cause deflation, or at least reduce inflation. The big brain theory states there will be a BIG deflation before hyperinflation, maybe we're seeing the initial stages?
Maybe someone can answer this better?

It's the only correct one.
If you bought silver at 20 hoping to sell it at 23, you're probably a mud person. You don't understand what you're buying so you can't possibly appreciate why you need to hold it. You might as well sell your stack for fiat and buy a Nintendo Switch with it. After all you're gonna need something to do when your wife is offering up her puckered asshole for a Merc Dime.

We've hit 70s/80s levels of inflation. Want to know what the average price an oz of silver was in 1980? $20, and it hit a high of just under $50. Adjusted for inflation, that's like $70 for the average and $170 for the high per oz. What's silver right now? Like $21?

Your meme metals are never going to be worth anything. There is so much reserve silver that anytime inflation gets high, people dump the absolute fuck out of it, happy to get $15 an oz. You like collecting silver as a hobby. That's it. Quit acting like it's an investment. That's absolutely fucking retarded. Where are you going to sell your silver? Ebay? Lol, you'll need to get over 15% returns just to break even with their fees. Going to set up a booth at a gun show and sell it? LMAO.

If SHTF, fucking nobody is going to care about fucking silver... jfc, can I eat or shoot silver? No? I can just look at it? Wow, meds. The facts are in your face right this very second. People selling silver do not give a fuck about Inflation. It is a common rock that we have a massive abundance of and the only reason it isn't worth $1 an oz is because the supply is being restricted. Anytime we have massive Inflation that is a green light for the supply to be dumped in order to keep the price per oz around $20. They are able to offload massive amounts without destroying the price per oz.

You are never going to see a dime back in profit on your meme rocks and if the goal is a hedge against inflation... LMAO. An oz in 1980 was $20 and today its still $20

It's called Dollar Cost Averaging. You commit a predetermined amount each month or year to an investment and stick to it. When prices are low you are accumulating more, when prices are high you are accumulating less. It's the best strategy for a long term investor with a low risk tolerance. Anyone with an IQ over 90 understands this but I doubt your people ever got past using clam shells as shovels so here you are.

Sooo, you have less silver than you could have because you stopped buying it. This makes you think you are somehow getting ahead? You think we have a shopping addiction? I think you have the trader's disease: you think you are going to win by timing the market. That doesn't even work in the stock market for most people most of the time. How much less of a sensible strategy is it in market for long-term hold assets?
