I am really not sure to be honest. I think under normal circumstances, individual stocks do not get this much attention now that more people than every are paying attention to "meme stocks". I think retail showing up is a new phenomenon they are not ready for. Most investors buy index funds and we are always told to not stock pick. And most savvy traders will protect themselves from losses and run for the hills. But retail seems to have learned some new tricks that are definitely causing some unwanted distortions. So all of the necessary pent up buying pressure is locked and loaded into shares already. This is not normal price movement so we don't need to pretend that the stock needs some miracle to happen.
