I want several ounces of gold as well, but the sheer amount of weight you can acquire buying silver is well worth it to stick to buying silver. The truth about the GSR is that silver is so comically cheap that if you really want gold you will do better to just wait and swap silver for gold. I don't actually think gold can run away from silver in price due to arbitrage.

Checked.. Me too.. Probably 6 years ago now I had an extremely vivid dream that I was abducted (not up but down) through a plain of water/ice and when I broke the surface, I was confronted by what had to have been grey aliens that were dressed as native Americans.. War paint and feathers the whole shebang but 100% grey aliens.. They surgically removed my molars buy using scalpels to make rectangular incisions in my cheeks.. They then put gauze on my wounds.. Since then I have had a handful of dreams where my teeth randomly fall out and I try to put them back.. Fucking SPOOPY shit..

The no-gold only-silver in me is getting confirmation bias hard with your beliefs but the future is so foggy that silver may not see a major spike anytime soon while gold will likely see a continued slow growth.

Or maybe silver and gold will rise equally as the world becomes more fractured and the masses start getting legitimately fearful of hyperinflation.

In a situation where silver skyrockets and gold doesn’t I don’t even want to risk selling my precious silver. I’d sooner have stacks of both and a means of adding to them evenly.

It could very well happen that gold commands a major premium on the international stage and its use as money conveys a massive amount of purchasing power relative to other goods and services. I think the big event we all foresee is actually going to be a sort of reconciliation of all of the debt/notes and forcing out of bad debts, bad companies and leverage. However, my thought experiments don't really let me see gold running away from silver due to the natural scarcity, mining scarcity etc. Even if it did happen, I would imagine a pretty quick snap-back based on reality. Because all of the distortions in the economy that led us to this point would simply be exacerbated by silver being even cheaper against gold. At least how I see it.

I think a big factor is it's a front-facing sculpt; coins are SCULPTURES, not drawings. Things that work fine in drawing, which can have plenty of forms of shading such as hatch or gradient don't really work in a sculpture. Depth is too important to the front view of a face, look how goofy the nose and chin are, the most forwar-dreaching parts of the face. Profiles work better because depth isn't as important in a profile. A meme to illustrate.

It depends on what you mean by "ruins the coin". A coin with numismatic value - meaning value to a collector due to rarity rather than value due to its metal content - very well may lose value if cleaned in any detectable way. But the value of bullion, in bar or round form, and common "junk" silver will not be reduced by cleaning. The baking soda method is particularly mild. Some folks will argue that cleaning any coin in any way ruins it. But they are just projecting their numismatic autism onto junk coinage.

This. There is also a difference between conserving and cleaning. Coins that have been damaged by PVC/bronze disease (chloride damage) have to be treated otherwise the rot will continue and may even spread to other coins in your collection

An Indian mint mark 1918 might be more cos the mint wasn’t used much due to the war. Grabbing some Victoria’s is cool regardless though because of history. I wouldn’t mind one of each of her but I usually buy “best value” whatever I get unless I specifically wanted the memorial one.

yes indeed. there was still resistance to the debasement of the dollar. an agreement was struck. the Eisenhower dollars would be equally minted in silver (40%) and cupronickel.

Nice work fren. Decent price too. A gentleman of taste I see.

My local coin store does the odd Britannia at 35 unless you buy 3 for 90. BUT they sometimes have the rarer ones like 2010, 2003 etc priced up the same. Depends what they’ve been sold. They didn’t have any the last time I went. Two weeks prior they had a few, about 6 sovs and 10 Morgan’s. It’s a small shop but fast turnover.

The Silvers weren't even intended for circulation, you could only buy them through the Mint Catalogue (I think for $3 a piece). When they were writing the legislation for them, there was a fight over whether to make them Silver or Curpronickel, the pro-Silver faction of congressmen lost, but the legislation kept provisions for Silver coins to be struck and sold to collectors mainly because Eisenhower himself loved Silver Dollars when he was alive. The Silver ones were only struck in San Francisco which makes them pretty easy to identify too.

They should've done a small run of Morgan Dollars at the Carson City Mint. They wouldn't have any issues with using it since the building is the Nevada State Historical Museum now and they still have a minting press there (which is used to make souvenir medallions occasionally). I guess they were just too lazy to get the materials and manpower out there and just wanted a cheap cashgrab, which is pretty typical of the US Mint nowadays.

I only did it once, because yeah. it was hard to do and we didnt need a single goose that wasn't part of the breeding pair so we didnt keep him. I never named the rest or hand raised them. If I was older I would have just kept it as a "pet" friend, but it was my dads small holding. I was given a pair of rabbits for a birthday, we just let them live wild in the back garden and breed. Dad would just go grab one to eat in a stew whenever he turned up short hunting the actual wild ones in the woods nearby. Just leave the original two. Think we had 20 or so max at one point. That would have been about 85.

My tism is too great to dare deface my precious silver with my unworthy meat sticks. I look at them for a few seconds, carefully place them in tubes or capsules, and tuck them in to their cozy ammo crate of peace and friendship.

You're actually seeing pretty much the most flattering possible photo. Though not as extreme as yours mine also has that blue hazy shit all over the face, it's gross. Apparently dipping can remove it but you have to have to crack open the plastic slab to do so.

Just buy coins from the mint wait a few years and flip em for a high premium, Aim for coins/rounds with lower mintage for best results.
Mine was a gift I buy most of my stuff local but that is what my father in law does quite successfully.

Heil Kruger. I’ve stacked so many I HAVE to stack something else on the off chance I need to buy more goblin wives and I run out of mercs.

KRUGERCHADS and their Krugerrands are the top tier of PMs. No other nation comes close to the pure beauty like Kruger-sama.

Fuck boomer ASEs. Fuck the queen and her dominions. Weiners are based just for being retarded and cheap. And fuck the Chinese (so steal their pandas because they’re cute).

The only exception are kooks but the queen really ruins it.
