Hi, /pmg/. What do you think about 1kg silver bars? I am going to pick one up for $2 over spot, pretty good price. My concern is its liquidity.

In general what kind of weights do you favor and why? I think there are lots of arguments to be made here. Obviously diversifying is a good idea but I have seen people argue that you should not buy big bars until you have hundreds or even thousands of single 1 ouncers. Thoughts?

Considering a short squeeze is only possible when far too many positions are short, I would argue that in this case the manipulation needed to be equal and opposite to the short side for this even to be even possible. Furthermore, we have no idea if the price would have naturally regressed to a 'mean price' if the market were allowed to set on its own. The regulators were interfering in this situation almost immediately, which is extremely uncanny and almost by itself indicates that those in control opposed $50 silver. The Hunt brother's lives were absolutely destroyed over this to an extent that far exceeds the repercussions that modern day market spoofs life SBF of FTX for example have suffered.

It's still incredibly gay but if the guy took the gold, didn't tell them and they somehow found out they'd make a Ruby ridge incident out of him for holding a United states asset he wasn't cleared to have. Pan man, can I pick your brain for a bit? I was reeing about high water last thread, but I got some view at my spots with flowing water now, while on stroller duty.
I’ve been moderately successful everywhere here (water at low water is beyond the blue line) but the spot i’ve marked in yellow should be where I ought to focus?

Of course this high-ish water is far from the flood conditions where gold moves, but it should not be that different flow.
There’s a chain of rocks like the one on the left under the yellow line with large gravels and pebbles behind the rocks. Oddly enough, I don’t see any signs of digging there, but it seems like no one bothers since that’s a straight part or even a bit outside bend-ish. However I got quite a good take from a similar, smaller structure 10m upstream so I figure that should be good too. However, if I start that, I need to finish it. Had it happen a few times that I start a spot and when I come back, someone else finished the job.
If it is any anon from this thread: dude! Stop it! How about we join forces? (Obligatory: no homo, I won’t murder-rape you!)

Now I haven’t taken a closer look at this one yet (too many other spots) but the more I think about it, the more interesting it seems. The circle is like at the apex of an inside bend (but not a very sharp one) and at low water it’s dry (concrete foundations of the bridge? Large boulders? Haven’t yet been on the other side, the baby will wake up if I cross the bridge) but should have some cracks worth cleaning. Probably with my hand pump, if underwater. And there’s a gravel bar at the yellow downstream (slack water between the two spots). Really got to try those spots too, it seems to me.

>> No.53781467

>>53779603
It’s a sloped lot alongside a curved road and at about 4 different spots there are slow streams of water coming out. We’re south of a massive mountain range that may be seeping through the spring and the slope sees a lot of water drain from further up.

Here’s my game plan over the next few months:

>broadcast sow cover crop and wildflowers before every rain (worked great with the neglected lawn we’re turning into garden and a neglected slope that I cleared a bunch of trees and leaves out of.)
>cover crop grow in dry spots while consistently wet spots fail to germinate or wash seed along the perimeter.
>come summer the spring may dry out and the lot should be established with cover crops except for the areas that were previously washed out and underwater.
Dig into the highest points of those blank patches of space and make four distinct small ponds to slow, stop, and spread the seasonal water.

I got no idea how it’s going to go but I’m currently just stoked there’s water running and my system of throwing seed at the problem is working really well. Had a four day stretch of frozen ice and my oat, turnip, and pea seedlings didn’t give a shit about freezing temps and being buried in ice. They’ve been sown in pulses since December and are currently between 1-5 inches tall!

Damn, I really need a large garden too! Someone mentioned asparagus as a cash crop, that's actually quite clever (though they're only growing well on light, sandy soil, probably could take my fines from panning home (and get heavy metal poisoning, lot's of neat stuff in there, even naturally…)). Personally, I would save a lot of money just growing some for myself. I'm in europe, so supermarket fruits and vegetables are not actively trying to kill me like in the US, but the taste is often rather bland. A while ago I had some celery that was really eye opening. Or some beefsteak tomato I got last summer. Made a soup from it and holy shit, it was like I had added concentrated tomato taste to it (but non-artificial). Damn, now I'm hungry.

With Tin at $26.50/kg (a year ago we broke $50/kg) I eagerly stack all the cheap scrap pewter I come across while out and about IRL hunting for antiques and cheap PMs, I have somewhere over 300lbs stacked so far. The fundamentals are strong and it's a fun safe low melting-point metal to play with, I'll sell when it goes over $100/kg later this decade. I also collect free lead found while hiking around and sometimes sift bullets to melt into bars and collect the fired brass at the shooting range but that's more just to satisfy my acquisitive autism not for profit, I believe the real money from base metals will come from pewter/tin.

There won’t be “collapse” like there was with recessions, depressions, war, shit like that. Famine only exists in modern times because there’s lots of brown people these days that can’t keep up with the modern temperament of successful whites or asians. Unless a meteorite crashes earth or a massive amounts of nukes are launched there really isn’t going to be a “collapse”. Slow and steady decline in culture to degeneracy and shit? Yes. But this will just be nonviolent perpetual misery people will be like they were in the old Charleston Heston classic “Onions green” with just a few happy people. The rest won’t have jobs. Because burger flippers and semi truck drivers will be replaced by AI. And most people will exist without purpose. That will be the crisis of the mid 21st century not the usual war/famine. All the people shilling weird ideas about ww3 or muh civil war are just tin foil hat wearing retards.

this is a fairly flat flowing river, without any major rapids, twists, turns or stopping points. Gold will be fairly evenly distributed across the bars and bedrock in this sort of flow, but anywhere the current is eddying out there should be better gold. You need a major storm surge to move more material around I think.

Neat. Fits what the was thinking, but of course it’s difficult to 100% get to the spot you saw under water, when the water is gone and it all looks different.
>You need a major storm surge to move more material around I think.
Yes. It should have at least a meter more of water in spring freshet, but that has been canceled the last few years. I think the last big flood was 2-3m more.

You only tell the facts that are convenient for you, which most people would call manipulation. You fail to mention that Gold is only a couple hundred bucks below its ATH or how 50% of Gold demand comes from the jewelry industry. There's very little upshot potential for Gold compared to Silver right now given that Silver is at less than half of its ATH and has a lot of industrial uses (such as the batteries for missiles) which will bolster its price more than Gold in the coming years.

The fact that silver has more industrial applications make it less convenient as a store of value. During times of economic hardships when these specific industries slow down, the demand of silver would go down, thus making it cheaper and not a great place to have your money on during hard times.
Gold only has 10% industrial uses, that's why its a much better store of value, because 90% of its demand comes from people looking to own fancy things and saving money.
If you are investing in things based on its potential demand in the future you are better off buying stocks or crypto, not fucking metals.

This is the most profound part about stacking. We are so accustomed to paper dollars that I think we have all lost sight to what this fiat-dollar racket is doing. The banks are just imbibing ALL of the worlds' capital and resources and labor and they are moving it around with the creation of IOUs. And they leverage up their own assets and pay people interest/dividends to counteract the inflation they are causing. People basically chase after digits rather than actually acquire real wealth. It is essentially a bogus place-holder. Think about how money is set aside for the likes of insurance, pensions, social security. Think about how much borrowed money/leverage is tucked away inside real estate and stocks. We are essentially buying in to a system that is saturated with bogus IOU paper notes and all of this is going to actualize itself as big fat fucking ZEROS/losses.
Take your money and give it to Wallstreet to invest until you are 65. Invest in insurance companies that hands your money over to the government to spend. Your healthcare industry keeps you on the verge of bankruptcy unless you work until you are 65 so you can qualify for Medicare. We are on the cusp of a deflationary depression unless someone is spending massive amounts of credit which is destroying the country with credit cards, student loans, 30 year mortgages, 7 year car loans etc. It's all a farce and what is being covered up: a SEVERE lack of real wealth. Capital is NOT liquidity. You cannot operate a country based on consumption/spending and now we get to live with the fact that we are all broke.

We had a similar debate about this in the previous thread, that buying up all the registered silver would expose the real price of silver as the banksters can no longer use future market derivatives to suppress the price.

Solid solid plan, I gotta plan carefully what and when we grow cause all 4 seasons hit hard. We get massive rain in the fall that washes a bunch out. Does bring flood gold down from the mines to the south of us
Having running water is a huge plus! I love AZ cause there are no laws prohibiting the collection of rainwater as well. I gotta get a few more tanks put in before i really do anything big. My list goes more water storage, bee hives (cause wild flowers grow real ez up here and are super ez to plant) then build up fencing to keep the wild life out

Well, we all know the 'market price' is phony for a lot of things so this will be no different. Its real value will be in communities if they break the market reporting. Banksters gonna bankster.

>Again, make your own list why silver is better than gold for noobs because then you will have your ideal stacking guide.
But i made dozens of them back in 2019-20, who have been posted countless times. You know it because you already were around here back then. It's just that i don't feel the urge to post them.
And i don't think one is better than the other, it's up to you to decide which one you prefer, might be depending on your needs and future expectations. One have more applications, while the other is built on wide societal and legal recognition as store of value.
All i want is for this general to not devolve into a petty war of which rock is best, and many anons here agree on this, but portions of your pics are clearly trying to stir some shit.

Sick to hear, man. Got the cleared lot sown with wildflowers, cover crop (oats, rapeseed, and turnip), and a 40 pound bag of sunflowers. Still keeping a neurotic eye on how the water is flowing but I think even if it’s seasonal I can catch the water into the pond rather than letting it wash out.

Once the roof is redone and gutters are installed we’ll have rain catchment and grey water runoff flowing into the greenhouse connected to the south side of the house. Shout out to AZ and everywhere else that don’t fuck with self-sufficiency. Can’t believe niggas are getting fined for catching their own rain for home and garden use.

Bullion dealers will have a metric fuckton of people looking to BUY at those prices as well. And because their inventory will likely be wiped out, they will want to restock in order to continue generating revenue. Of course there is risk, but they will have a good gauge of the amount of buyers they have at those prices. With enough time/planning they could buy large stacks and then hedge so their positions are net-zero.

It would be a phoney squeeze price because you just sucked up the supply suddenly. One reason the hunt manipulation failed later on in the scheme was they took delivery, and ounces started pouring back on the market because everyone everywhere started cashing in on the price. So instead of paying the paper price to settle the contract, they were able to pay the hunts in silver. Retards got over leveraged anyway, it was bound to fail.
A more functional market that would find market value would be to cut down on the naked shorts.

Not so. The question is which use has greater demand: use as money or use as something else. Needless to say, the use for money is enormous. Half of every economic transaction in the world uses money. If silver is remonetized, the demand for it as money will outstrip almost any conceivable industrial use.
