Inb4 "are you saying that Arbitrum Nova is less secure?" No, the "favors security" part has to do with how easy it is to leave the network if something happens to it.
The on-chain data-available of rollups means the data is already on Ethereum (in the case of optimistic rollups being delayed by at most 14 days due to the nature of fraud proofs).
Whereas with plasma and validia that data is stored by a data-availability committee whom you're relying on. The more members the better though.
