If technical analysis was true... wouldn't the world be already full of millionares by now? All you have to do is studying diligently for a few months before trading. And if it's not truth "all the time"... why even bother? TA is nothing more than a coin toss with extra steps. All in all, technical analysis is astrology for fags

Very few have the emotional self-control needed to execute on what the chart suggests, assuming they even know how to read it.

Sir…risk management is everything. Most people don’t have it.

troll post but if you approach it conceptually as whether or not it's 'truth' you are a complete retard

'truth' is irrelevant. TA allows you to assess clues on the chart and come to a conclusion based on the totality of evidence available. Capable technicians are also not necessarily capable traders, which is a separate skill entirely

It just gives you a bit of an edge. And also it stops working if you have too much money cuz the market can't absorb your orders anymore

The advantage is being able to see what is likely to happen
>so it's like gambling
Sure why not. Who cares you're not actually looking to use TA you just want to FUD those that do or fence sitters. I smell baby foreskin

what people misunderstand about TA is that they use it as a tool to either go all in or go all out. TA should instead be used as a risk management tool that tells you what percentage of your stack you should risk

pretty much this, i told myself to sell all my avax at 20. Didn't do it, then it went down to 17.30. I've done these correct predictions a dozen times, but never pull the trigger.

So is learning to count cards in blackjack, but it is still 50-50 chance, and that's if the casino feels nice and doesn't cheat on you. TA works until it doesn't. Markets are manipulated. So why even bother then?

They do exist, how do you think certain funds consistently trade for a profit? Just guessing right? Retard

Yeah. Renaissance Technologies seems to use technical analysis very profitably, for example. Technical analysis is a big category and not everything under that name is valid and profitable.

You see, those day traders don't trade against other day traders, they trade against grandma (who also trades for some reason), and she's very easy to outwit. It's an endless stream of money that is just waiting for you to dip your hand into it and scoop up a fistful while you're chillaxing on the beach. Even better: professional traders who have budgets in the hundreds of millions, the best market data that money can buy, hundreds of math PhDs, and access to the newest machine learning models haven't scooped up these profits either. Ok, they've scooped up some, but they've left enough for the amateur day traders to make $5K/day with a few clicks. They're good sports about it, you see. They remember how it was back when they were young, so they don't want to discourage the young lads who're just starting out.

Seriously though, I use moving averages to see demand and supply zones and couple that with DeMark counts and it definitely helps.
