anyone who thinks WFH is a lasting phenomenon and not a dying trend is just a coping tech kale male

we'll be back to 5 days a week in-office within the next 2 years (except for the WFH bloodsuckers, they'll all be fired and unemployable)

As long as a portion of companies are willing to offer fully remote roles, they WILL scoop up all of the best talent whilst in-office and any form of hybrid WILL continue to scrape the bottom of the local talent barrel.
Simply stating facts, cope and seethe

>WILL scoop up all of the best talent
Show me proof. Lots of tax codes are fucking over WFH anywhere. A lot of these companies are suing one day a week or whatever to make sure their workers live in town.

the best talent are those who prefer to work in-office

those who are adamant about remote work are bottom of the barrel talent which is why they're the ones that have disproportionately been laid off from major firms so far (and will continue to be)

Patrician mode is to go in 1-3 days a week variably just to shoot the shit with coworkers and find out what's been happening, with the flexibility to leave anytime during the day you want and continue the day's work wfh. Full-time remote disconnects you and full-time office presence is just soul-crushing.

I don't think normies are mentally mature enough for a full-time wfh paradigm, especially with the women needing to come in and socialize with everyone from time to time. If you work for a really serious company doing cutting-edge research or something and everyone is really tight-knit and knows what everyone else is capable of and what their roles and responsibilities are then you could manage it but that's only for the exceptional few.

>wake up
>work 4 hours
>drive to office on company time
>get to office and have lunch with Coworkers
>work like 3 more hours
>go home and count it as a day I went into the office
Not sure if this works at other places but I do this like once or twice a week and it's nice not having to wake up early to go to the office

Software and call center jobs are remote. Engineering you need to be on site or in lab, same with doctor, lawyers go to court. Even receptionists needs to check people in. If you need to work with people in person, you have a good job. If you are alone, that must suck.

the only people who think like this are
>jelly brainlets for work a non-tech job
>easily replaceable midwit robots

When you actually do work that takes months and months if not years to get efficient at, you have an incredible amount of leverage against your employer. For example, I work with an IBM AS400/iSeries. Do you know how many under-50s know how to program in CL/RPG/RPGLE? If I want to work from home, I work from home. Because another company in some other state is desperate for that sort of programming knowledge and doesn't want to waste 3 months training some Java/Python/C programmer basic AS400 commands on top of the the company's programming conventions/protocols.

Techbros have all of the leverage. This isnt a field where some mexican immigrant can come in and do your job

Holy cope!

Just because you didn't pay attention at school like your parents warned due to which you are now in an uninspiring career no one cares about instead of a cosy swe job doesn't mean you need to air your grievances out on us.

You were literally warned by your parents and teachers to pay attention and do well. This is on you.

Cope seethe etc..

This reply is always a tell-tale sign that someone is some jelly non-techbro. If you worked for a single year programming, you'd realize how dogshit pajeet code is. Buggy as fuck. They are incapable of developing any large scale enterprise application. My company hires pajeets. You know what they do? Fix bugs. That's it. No actual developing. No creative thinking. Literally debug and fix bad code that their predecessors most likely created.

This brings up another point. The fact that people who don't work in tech are so assblasted about us just tells me we're winning. Cope and seethe brainlet.
