Accounting on company statements is so funny. Because they can just classify things as whatever they want on their statements. I mean like 10-K's and 10-Q's, etc.
When mom audited the downtown Chicago chocolate factory downtown when she was a CPA and found out they had a massive tax break from the Daley admin because they classified the regular chocolate smell as a public good. i honestly agree because there's a substantial portion West chicago where downtown is that smells just like chocolate chip cookies getting baked

But no, lets chase DOLE now. Lets pump DOLE to $20 just so we can dump it right back down.

If their policy is that all lights must be off, then it's reasonable for them to complain, though scathing is probably overrated. If the policy is to leave it as you found it, and various lights are on and off, then scathing is well outside reasonable, as it's simple enough to forget something like that in a maze of offices.

But, it doesn't mean you're right. I used to work in a 2 shift office, where the night shift manager was having an affair with the morning shift manager, and they'd meet before afternoon shift started based on the light being on or off.
We got a new cleaning crew and they would turn all lights on while vacuuming the hall on one side, and then turn them off as they went through each room. The resulting lack of contact nearly broke the business up when the AM manager thought that the PM manager was no longer interested, and the PM manager kept getting stood up, and it started showing up in their attitudes towards the teams.

A tax write off. Lobster and prime rib dinners for the executives? A tax write off. All cleaning services for the building? A tax write off. Any losses of profit? A tax write off. It's your contract. I'm just telling you, if they want you to not fuck with lights, don't fuck with lights. If your crew can't keep track of that difference without fucking it up routinely, you should consider retiring the contract.
But it's also worth noting, that you're the lowest on the totem pole, from the idiot office worker view. Hence, you will, as in all hierarchy, take irrational emotional venting. This is the real reason the cops beat up the homeless. It's not that they are angry about the drug use or the alcohol, it's some fucked up human instinct to vent on the weakest link when things aren't growing.

Claiming success is pure luck is a coping mechanism for those who could not properly forsee the future. It's like saying professional poker players are just getting repeatedly lucky.
Sure, there is plenty of event risk that is impossible to forsee, but some trends are clear. Some cycles repeat. Some patterns are consistent.
As a small individual investor, you have pretty significant structural advantages.

Nice choice.
Let me recommend some thing that may put your Listing over the top:
>Table Games
This 7 foot dining table quickly converts to a ping-pong table, or a billiards table, and back, easily and conveniently. In your tool-shed turned AirB&B, your guests could even put sleeping bags on the table, giving you an edge on those boring listings that just have methamphetamine byproducts in the carpets.

guys running billions of dollars aren't hedging their entire books with 0DTEs on CPI day bro. Even if 0DTEs make up nearly half of option volume, people still buy longer dated options to hedge delta. 1 month ago shit looked good, so they didn't think they needed to hedge low, now that shit is getting bad they need to hedge. I mean do you really think it's a coincidence we get like 5 fucking shitty events that in the past would cause a -3% down day, and the VIX gets crushed all day every day? The VIX is fucking 18. Yields have rallied 10% in two weeks and QQQ is up 3%. This shit isn't normal, it's like literally 3 std deviation from norm correlations.

>Well, the February one. They're not retards that throw money away on extra theta.

OK, then why would they stick with the traditional February monthly opex when they could buy options for the exact days they want to hedge.

At the point they buy them they're not 0dtes. They're 16dtes or whatever, but on the exact date that makes sense.

>Zero days to options expiration(0DTEs) are puts and calls on individual stocks and indexes that expire within 24 hours. 0DTE options may seem like speculative you only live once (YOLO) bets at first glance.

>But, when one appreciates how brokers hedge options, they then grasp the potential for considerable instability in individual stocks and the market.

>Before exploring 0DTE options, it's worth briefly discussing portfolio insurance's role in Black Monday 1987.

>One of my first reactions to hearing of the recent popularity of 0DTE trades was to recall Black Monday and the 22.6% crash of the Dow Jones Industrial Average on October 19, 1987. There were several causes for the crash, but the factor that significantly amplified the decline was portfolio insurance.

you have to have hedges for your book to be neutral. When you are complacent and don't think bad shit is going to happen (the last two months) you buy less, vix crush. When that dramatically changes and implied volatility becomes way more valuable than realized volatility, you need protection. There is downside risk now. It hit all at once this week. I'm honestly getting afraid of what these can do. Now you only need like 10 or 15 pics of your ex, make a LoRa out of her, and you can basically do any porn you want of her in seconds and by the thousands, and post it on the internet if she pissed you off. Reverse works too. It's frightening.
