You have to understand that first it was gold which was popular, then bonds then stocks. Now that the stocks are propped up by the FED. Nobody knows if without the FED, stocks can sustain such a rise we have seen since the GFC.

If you want to day trade, with 20k you have a comfy margin to trade futures. Check a cheap broker like optimus futures or ninjatrader. You can open 2 ES lots with your 20k and with that 1 point on ES = 100 dollars. That's the easiest money possible. The secret to trading is really to control greed and take partial profits and loses instead of waiting the last second to close a position.
