I'm 30 now with about $600K to my name and I make $280k/year.

Biggest hurdle is buying a house. My area is super expensive, min price is going to be $500k. I feel like if I buy something now and put $100-150k down, I can pay it off within 5 years assuming my income is constant or grows. Then with the remainder of my nw (say $450K after the downpayment is gone) invested and growing over the 5 years, plus some contributions, by 35 I'd have a paid off house and maybe $600K+/- invested and producing income for me.

Should be enough? I can still work part-time and make like $60k/year if I needed to. But I don't want to do that ideally.
