Henlo, frens. Went hard on stacking over the last few nights and taking a day off feels like withdrawals. The internal debate about how just ONE MORE would satiate my cravings leaves me trolling ebay for weird unique coins when I know if I just waited and saved I could by so many more in bulk for a much cheaper cost per ounce.

I’d complain but we could be blowing money on whores, consoomer bullshit, or drugs/alcohol.

In your darker moments please remember that your addiction magically converts bullshit fiat usury Jew paper into the holy god rocks of silber and gold.

There are a few ancient Greek city states that I collect, one of my favorites is Clazomenae in Ionia (infested by Turkroaches nowadays). They depict Chrysaor, the twin sibling of Pegasus, who was a winged boar purported to have flown around ravaging the countryside of Clazomenae in the days of legend prior to its founding. Pegasus and Chrysaor were born from Medusa's severed neck stump after she got BTFO by Perseus but Pegasus gets most of the attention this millennia. I think the visual of a giant angry flying pig roving around killing cattle and strafing maidens is hilarious so I'm slowly building a collection of all the different denominations and major styles they minted back in the 5th century BC. They're pretty scarce so it's slow going, but it's just as well because stacking weight seems wisest right now.

You may have been talking to someone else. Anyway, you must be new to stacking. Premiums are all screwed up right now. A few years ago, there were real savings on 10oz+ bars. Right now, there isn’t. Ancient coins depicting Medusa (or a generic gorgon) were much more plentiful so you could easily find one if interested, most are pretty goofy looking and none depict her as attractive so I like that modern treatment. Exactly. But sometimes you may have to sell unexpectedly. If that day comes, you may not have the time to find someone to buy your generic silver at fair market value. You may have to settle for an offer of spot or under. A more liquid bar/round/coin will sell faster and over spot.

I think the 22nd will be officially a year since I bought my first coin but I appreciate the insight as to what once was. If premiums were lower I could see the point of buying larger denominations but closeness in price between tubes and large bars seems to nullify any cost savings.

By coins vs rounds you mean legal tender (ASEs, wieners, maples, etc.) vs bullshit meme coins, correct?

I understand stacking coins whose numismatics may carry premiums into the future vs wallstreetsilver tubes but you can’t take away the memetic beauty of my slabbed Shrek coin. Them’s fighting words, fren.

Good advice. Nobody wants to sell, but say you are pressed for time because a nice plot of land comes your way, you want to be able to get that fiat quick and purchase that land. For those first starting out stacking I would suggest going for generic weight first, then going for low premium coins, such as Brits or Maples. Thanks for your kind words fren, it really means a lot to me, but comon, i'm like a little baby compared to you when it comes to finding the good stuff. But i'm glad i have such a senpai to teach me the way of the cheapies.

Speaking of old silverware, i think i might have found my best deal so far, i bet you'll like it. It was quite expensive per oz compared to what i'm used to, but this kind of pieces are really rare. I used your ebay ninja tactics you told me about few days ago, and it did wonders!
This is a great plate "aux filets", 1789, royal hallmarks Fermier Generaux, 25.2oz.
The date is adding something special, it was the year of the french revolution, and most fermier generaux were the first to meet the guillotine during the revolution's Terror (they were the ones charged to collect taxes in the name of the king, taking their pound of flesh in the process, each region had one and as all tax collectors, they were hated above all. iirc 35 out of 40 generals were sentenced to death).
So it's probably one of the very last silver plate to have been stamped with the royal duty hallmarks before the entire system was changed.

The condition is really nice from what i can see on the pics, no deformities, only the usual scratches.
I scouted around on antique auction websites (because i couldn't find any on the ebay sold items' historic), and they are fetching quite the premium in good condition (up to 4-5K). I don't expect to be able to sell for even as near as the ones sold to richfags, but still.. I paid 23€/oz for this (yeah, not really the way of the cheapies, but i simply couldn't resist).
Only thing i've yet to determine is the name of the silversmith, by chance i've found a digital copy of the "dictionary of silversmiths hallmarks from XIV to XIXth century in France" on our national library archives website. I'll dig through this tonight.

I got enough shit for stacking copper so I don’t think you’ll find anyone promoting bizarre base metal accoomulation beyond bullets and the things that shoot them.

If anything, the one metal missing from the list is copper and I’d argue it’s the retarded stepbrother of their hot big tiddy sister gold and silber. Copper pennies, copper rounds, and if you want to enter the COPPERCHAD degenerate club like me some copper bars have seen slow but stable growth in the bullion market.

With that said you better have some milk crates and a strong back because holy shit the extra weight adds up fast. I topped out at:
>10,000ish copper pennies
>100ish(?) copper rounds
>5 copper kilos
>and a big fuck off 300 oz copper boi

Feels like more than enough to put aside any miscellaneous metals and work on correcting my gold:silver ratio.

But if you find that nickel bullion has slowly risen in price and you want a fun means of physically investing in it than go right ahead, fren. Any money that is being put into bullion is money not going to empty vices like drugs, booze, or fast food.

Community is the hardest to build for autists like myself who love the idea of church in theory but hate attending in practice. My church is nature and I spread god’s goodness in the form of fruits and vegetables.

While knowing I will one day be a hermit in the woods I still want to offer charity and kindness to the frens of the world.

Never pursue women for the sake of pursuing women, anon. For every guy like yourself envious of those with a female there are countless men stuck in shitty relationships or even marriages and children who secretly regret everything.

Focus on yourself, as cliche and gay as that sounds. Immerse yourself in shit you want to do that has some kind of social aspect; volunteering, clubs, etc. Give online dating a shot but you really gotta love yourself first or you will concoct a false image of what you actually want to be in the quest of attracting a partner.

I’m married to a cougar over twice my age so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I found my soul mate and am grateful every day I can call her my wife but I sure as shit cannot make babies anytime soon. Truly a wonderful piece of history frogbro, I don't need to explain anything because you clearly understand the potent historicity and richfag appeal of a special big plate or charger made for the soon-to-be guillotined aristocracy right as the revolution began and spread. I don't have direct experience with pieces like that but it's a very high quality item, few would have been made in 1789 and far fewer would have survived 230+ years, 98+% of the handful ever made are probably long gone. It's a centerpiece-tier item for a discerning collector, true patrician taste my fren you did extremely well. I can't wait to see it and the giant spoon together when they arrive, silver hardly gets any better than that I'm impressed man.

Keep in mind that the sick American cultural revolution is sowing the seeds of its own destruction: men who will not take the roles of men and women who despise children. Remember what happened to the Shakers.

Two things to remember about that:

1. Most people's wages don't keep up with inflation. So decade after decade of continuous inflation outrunning wages pushes the middle class farther down the economic ladder. When this ad was printed, any regular job would support a family in a modest way. Now two incomes are needed. That is a direct result of inflation.

2. The difference in value of every dollar between the time of the 1938 ad and today was stolen by government and the crony banks and the people impoverished by that amount. Ten, twenty, fifty times the entire value of the money supply stolen from the public through the secret tax of inflation. So it is not the case that everything is fine because wages increased too. Savings and pensions have been systematically raped for over 100 years.

Yeah I really enjoy fractional silver coins like obols or the Sicilian litra, impressively small by modern standards but the diecutters then were often very talented and able to put a lot of detail into the lil' fellas. I have lots but haven't taken any pics of a grouping of obol size coins, I usually just post this of my smallest fractions of obols. Many of the gorgons in that pic including the spooky one are drachms from Apollonia Pontika, a port city on the Black Sea in Bulgaria now. Very common and affordable for the realm of ancient coins with countless die varieties, there are plenty of fakes floating around too though so be careful.

I'm not incorrect though. A nuclear war would create that scenario. The mass starvation from a nuclear winter would be devastating for all species and the world's ecosystem. I don't deny that the possibility is extremely slim, just saying it's not impossible.

Lmao a few pounds of chicken salad was 20 dollars at sams club, apparently a pure silver coin is worth some diced up chicken and mayonnaise now, and netflix is pumping too, all the markets are rigged bullshit, there's ghost money behind the stock market, pretty sure its the US gov just pumping into it to keep up appearances.

There's no way some overpriced streaming site that makes garbage shows is worth $160,000,000,000, it's all complete bullshit, the US stock market is rigged as fuck, according to the current market vaporware shitcoin faggotry is worth more than a lot of tangible real assets, a total farce.

They western banksters are trying to prolong as long as possible to get their CBDC systems up and running to replace fiat. There's real panic from them because it looks like they might run out of time as key infrastructure was about to collapse without quantitative easing measures like UK pensions. On top of this is BRICS having the potential to be a global reserve competitor to the US dollar which would then shut off the west from over half of the global economy. The flooding of US dollar back to America would cause a crack up boom which the banksters fear the most as it would end the empire.

What a lie. There is currently LESS than 1 oz of gold for every person on earth. About 0.31 oz to be more exact. If you decrease the population to 1 billion, everyone on earth would have about 2.5 oz or so. I don’t see the value of gold ever dropping. Nice FUD though bro.

You have it reversed. I see way more people irrationally shitting on eagles or maples because the premiums are higher. You should own both round and coins. They each play their part. Eagles have been especially good to stackers if you bought before the steep rise in premiums. Along with their liquidity, that is why you get support for eagles. With the problems the US mint has had, and with the expectation of significantly higher spot prices, eagles are still a good buy right now. But best to diversify your stack.

It will be used along side other commodities that would also be more scarce. Out of all the things a human needs more than anything else is clean water. A radioactive world would result in mass sickness for surface dwellers. Underground safe havens will be more interested in having food, water and warmth. The population sizes would be extremely limited in them, expect at best a 100,000 in the biggest complexes. Is that a world that needs gold?

In Aristophanes' plays he describes people carrying obols or other small coins in their mouth for safekeeping, and in his circa 414 BC comedy play "The Birds" someone looks up in surprise and accidentally swallows one kek. I have no way of knowing how they actually kept track of their babbycoins besides using a coin purse but keeping a few in one's mouth during a quick trip to the market makes sense.

Do you remember circa 2010 when it seemed like there was a pop-up "cash4gold" type shop in every half-vacant strip mall? I haven't seen any fliers or PM buying activity like that locally but agree it's a bullish indicator.
