Is there any way I can book it then cancel without paying you further demoralize Airbnb parasites? I already contact landlords on Facebook marketplace and alternate between low balling them or asking to tour it and when they say they got there I block them

Booking.com captured the vacation rental market hard and they are the only ones giving bookings atm. As all customers drinks from the same availability per zone, the AVG price has pumped.

Tldr put ur rental in booking.com and get even more money

the only good use for AirBnB's is if you are going on a big group trip with a bunch of people, like at least 8+ people and you can all chip in and rent a huge house for the weekend or whatever and just party it up, if you're going on a normal vacation of 2 or 4 people its always better to just get a hotel room than in someone's shitty 2 bedroom house.

or long term rentals, sometimes you can get good deals on long rentals so if you need to be in a city for 2 or 3 months for some reason it sometimes ends up being a lot cheaper to get an extended airbnb rental rather than a long term hotel stay and you can't rent an apartment for less than a year like anywhere so it works out

I'm personally ecstatic for this crash. I grew up in central florida and have seen so many properties in my neighborhood get turned into Airbnbs. Hopefully going to scoop one up when they start to be offloaded.

I’m a landlord and this wouldn’t be that disruptive. I would say about 50% don’t show up as it is and 50% those that do can’t even meet deposit. People do weird shit in real estate and check out apartments they can’t afford, a lot of times they just want somebody to talk to. I can’t tell you how many times some asshole starts chatting me up about the economy or investments while I’m trying to shoo him out the door. They think because I’m a landlord or something I must be a good guy to talk to. I see why people just use real estate agents but it’s so easy to do myself and keep a whole months income. I just schedule 4 or 5 people in specific time blocks and either do a group showing or have them wait outside. Somebody trolling me like this wouldn’t even show up on my radar

why not just rent an airBMb and pay the $1000 deposit, then hire a demo crew to tear down their shitty house?
