Hello, I am new to stock investing and have about 10 grands. I just want to buy something safe. Are JEPQ, JEPI, QQQX and BST safe to buy? They are paying 8-12% dividend monthly and it sounds too good to be true. On the other hand, JP Morgan and BlackRock are too big to fail

I monitor the daily chart since that's the minimum timeframe in my opinion for meaningful price action to have its start, progression and come to a conclusion. I use the daily chart to spot patterns I like then wait for an intraday breakout to make a low risk entry. Tightening price action of a flag only means I can have a tight stop, it doesn't increase the likelihood of success though it does lower the cost of failure. Even if I were entering a trade due to fundamentals I would still want a stop. A stop is typically placed beneath a consolidation and a flag by definition is the tightest consolidation hence that’s where you make the entry. Again, it’s not the flag that increases chances of success, the consolidation just gives you the highest reward to risk ratio since you can run a tighter stop
