once you hit the street it's much harder to get off; and the first thing that will happen is your car will die and get towed and then you will be really sleeping on the street (and immobile with no place to store your shit, incapable of working now).

once your homeless you are fucked because nobody will hire you, you can't store work clothes and you can't reliably shower/shave/laundry.

if the system is this corrupt and fucked there needs to be a UBI bottom that people can hit where at an absolute food is free and you can live in squad-bay tier housing for free until you can save for rent.

the ultimate answer is rent control laws. the government (you) should dictate the rents allowed in an area not jewish landlords.

Sell all your shit you can't store, use the money to fix your vehicle. Your vehicle is your new home, sorry. If you have money left over, buy fuel, food, water, and maybe something like curtains and insulation for the vehicle.

Stay clean showing at gyms/rec centers, internet at coffee shops/sitting outside places in your car. Make a plan to move to somewhere you can actualy get a new job, preferably with a lower cost of living. Use your parents address or buy a PO Box for mail when you get your new job.

I can't think of anything else without knowing your location, what jobs you are qualified for. etc.

Alright, here's what I would do in this situation:
1. Sell off everything you do not absolutely need. Any electronics, which sadly includes your PC, basically everything outside of your car, clothes, phone and any medicine you need. Downgrade to a cheapass laptop, as long as it still works.
2. Find the cheapest accommodation around. You said cheap motels are booked, try hostels. My city showed the cheapest at $20 a night, and I don't live in a cheap city. Ask if they're looking for some help, you might at least get some free meals or free boarding for a while.
Going homeless is not an option, it just isn't. You might not mind living on the street and toughing it out but as someone else said you'll be completely unemployable.
3. Get online and sign up for every single focus group you see. I posted yesterday about this but I signed up for a session where we watched some ads for a mining company and discussed them after, whole thing went for 90 minutes and I got $120 the next day. I did a 3 day survey about buying alcohol online which took maybe 20 minutes total, and a few days after I got $65 worth of Amazon gift cards which you could easily spend on food. It's easy money but finding the opportunities can be difficult. I won't list them here to avoid shilling but go to YouTube and look up how to get into focus groups.
4. When you aren't doing focus groups, do surveys online. It's shit money, but you can do it while you're on the bus or watching Netflix or whatever. If you do them all day you should be able to make $15-20 a day, maybe more if you get lucky with some well paying ones.
5. Apply, apply, apply. You aren't getting out of this situation without finding a job, sorry. No one hates working more than me but you don't really have another option, focus groups and surveys won't pay the bills. Apply for goddamn everything, and then when you find a new place to live then you can worry about finding something better. Good luck.
