I'm making the jump before the bull run, these are the coins I'm considering investing on

>BTC and ETH, obviously
>LINK
>DOGE
>FTM
>AVAX
>SHIB
>JASMY

Is this good? Any coin I should be taking particular interest on?

>> No.53663075

Don't bother with scams like BTC/ETH/LINK and just go all in DOGE/SHIB/JASMY

Drop Link and jasmy. Pick between doge or shiba

Any reason why?

I already hold 700k in SHIB. Why not invest in both?

if you're actually a noob here's my opinions. BTC and ETH are about as good as any tech ETF. Shiba and doge are memes with no utility and already pumped multiple times maybe 5-10x from here who knows. FTM and AVAX seem ok, and you got the Robinhood liquidity for Avax so that's good. I have no clue about Jasmy except it seems like a dead project every time I researched it

If you want some others I would look into
>Tezos (no hype boring jew chain)
>ICP (reverse hype VC "scam"? with potential)
>Rose (maybe dead, corporate shitcoin)
>Parsiq (probably scam, low cap "AI" coin)
>RLC and Fetch (same reasons as parsiq)

self custody is paramount, take the time to figure out metamask and onramping (Getting fiat from your bank or card into crypto) methods aside from using a centralized exchange (CEX) and how to use decentralized exchanges (DEX).

While some will (correctly) tell you that you won't make it by buying large market cap coins, as a n00b stay away from shitcoins (very low market cap coins) until you get some more knowledge and experience.

Dollar cost average, so buy a little bit of the same coins once a week instead of all at once. If you have less than 10k to play with pick 3 to 5 coins max and focus on those. Don't overdiverify. Pick one major L1 without massive gas fees (i.e. not ethereum) like Cosmos or Avax and play around with their DEXes like Trader Joe on AVAX or Osmosis on Cosmos.

Split your portfolio heavily weighted towards bitcoin in the beginning.

40% btc
20% eth
20% avax/cosmos
10% a token within one of the above ecosystems, like osmosis on cosmos or joe within avax
10% keep in stablecoins to buy bug dips

Learning to keep some dry powder on hand is important

This is correct, and one of the few times you'll receive good info on this godforsaken piece of shit board. If you do this until 2024, you won't make it but you'll have some good money and that good money can help you possibly make it next time.

Correct. You will not make it this cycle. Your goals is to turn your paycheck dollar cost average budget into a big chunk of cash so during a following bear market you have the capital to invest and then make it. In the mean time you're learning crypto. Crypto is massive and there are unlimited projects its going to be a lot better for you to try to get your arms around one ecosystem and figure that out than to try to keep tabs of multiple unrelated projects. Make a new Twitter account and follow people associated with your chosen ecosystem. You will get better into there than you will get here. If you can't onramp and need to buy on a cex, withdraw your btc/eth/avax or Cosmos weekly to your self custody wallet. I'm a Cosmos guy but is say go with AVAX because Cosmos has its own wallet (keplr) and it'd be easier for you to manage everything in on a n00b wallet which can hold and interact with anything like the Coinbase self custody wallet. Gl anon.

This is more advice than what I initially asked, thank you kind anon. Giving a quick glance over the concepts you mention, there's one thing I'm not clear on: you mention to invest a 40% on BTC. How does BTC fit with DeFi when wallets/exchanges use the Ethereum network?

Don't over complicate things early on. Figure out your preferred wallet and onramping method. Figure out your dca budget. Get exposure to your portfolio for a couple weeks. Buy a ledger wallet and send your btc and eth there. Don't stake your eth. Once you have some AVAX or ATOM set aside and you wanna play with some liquidity pools or staking with that, take a small portion of that asset and experiment but I wouldn't go all in on pools due to a concept you need to research called impermanent loss.

Set accumulation goals for the next 18 months. Don't get hung up on perfection as much as consistency and execution. Don't fuck with leverage or trading, just accumulating.

As far as on ramps I personally use one called Kado.money. other than that, don't listen to youtubers or /biz/ I've given you enough advice to get started. The rest is on you. Good luck.

Buy at least 1,000 link. Eth and Bitcoin are safe but link still the best best risk to reward ratio despite its price. Alot of anons will fud you out of buying any, this is probably your last chance buying under $10 before ccip comes out. If you dont want to go all in then at least have link as one of the coins you dca in. There is so many bullish things with chainlink, i find it sad that newbies will listen to the "token not needed" comments and not even buy one. If you dont want to buy any and instead want to buy bitcoin and eth then at the very least research more about link to make a decision. Good luck fren

You probably won’t make it unless you have fifty thousand capital. If you do, you can make it this cycle in terms of a million or two. If you buy BTC and ETH like wise anons are suggesting, you won’t have enough x multipliers to go any further than probably 200-300k. That’s really good but the issue is we don’t actually have another bullrun after 2025, the next halving won’t matter, because of a multitude of reasons I won’t go into. Normally it would be a good idea to get into one cycle as a newbie and make it in another, but the actual makeit system after 2025 will be stocks. You should already be buying at these low rates because tech layoffs are a once in a decade type deal, with 2000, 2010 and 2022 being respectively the wagie rape years. If you had bought at each low you would have made it. What I’m trying to tell you is that crypto will not see another bullrun after this halving, and the next target is stock rapid rises. By making it in crypto this cycle with 500-1musd, you allow yourself a massive pool for stock purchasing, leading to actual makeit. 200-300k is just not good enough and even if you are a newbie you can easily still make it THIS cycle, because this cycle is the only one that will ever exist again for crypto.
