This is basically what's happening. But I think it's a primary cashout tool. People sell their crypto for chainlink. Then they sell chainlink for either usd/t or btc or even just cashout directly on coinbase or whatever. Because chainlink is a high volume coin with a dedicated community, there are always buyers, which prevents giga-dumps and allows sellers to get the best price.
