I think it is. They're essentially trying to maintain their shorts and pretending their whole thesis isn't burning to the ground all around them. They are too early and the trade is far too crowded and they simply can't maintain the borrow costs for much longer.
The massive volumes to keep the price essentially man-handled in a tight range is a dead giveaway. They likely want to survive for max pain on Friday but none of their problems are solved. They still have the same fucking shit to look forward to on Monday.

Everyone always asks 'how' the market is rigged, but I was wondering recently 'why' the market was rigged. To that extent I've been enjoying reading the 'limits to growth' and watching all of the associated lectures and videos by the club of rome. They're part of the Bilderbergers, the WEF, they're also national economic and environmental policy advisors to the White House and almost all other western governments. It's an interesting perspective that makes a lot of recent events out to be a twisted, but rationally benevolent mindset rather than people committing evil for the sake of being evil. They expect that the population will collapse due to a resource-overshoot, and they want to turn this uncontrolled collapse into a managed decline. Doing that would require siphoning an extreme amount of resources from the global economy, decades even, the more they could siphon the better actually because that would force the global population to peak faster and enter a managed decline more rapidly.

I'm convinced that they wanted to let the market crash by now, but can't because they're too overleveraged. So they have no choice but to keep pumping and dumping the market and shorting GME desperate for retail to capitulate because there is just no way they can survive this. It must have been made clear to the hedge cunts that there won't be a bail out, so all they can do is kick the can marketwide. It makes no sense for the market to be up so much right now despite so many big companies laying people off. Plus inflation is still out of control. All signs point to this market being completely detached from reality.

In the end we're only fighting ourselves as we're all One, anyway. However, consciousness to experience itself split up and we're having many different experiences called human, some even maybe not even human. Those "some" are so deprived of love and on such a low frequency that they would starve (=this distorted consciousness would disappear) without bringing humanity down to that same low frequency (through fear, hatred. Makes you wonder why mainstream media exists at all) whereby they suck our energy like a vampire.
We must reconnect to love as a collective and evil will disappear, as it is only an illusion.

It's an 'ends justify the means' mindset. In 1971 the Club of Rome predicted a global societal collapse sometime between 2010-2030, they were in fact one of the first organizations to talk about climate change, but their primary claim has always been that a population that grows exponentially will always exceed the resources available to that population, no matter how plentiful. And the tendency for a population is to overshoot and collapse. Now if you have the mindset that you are preventing or mitigating a disaster like societal collapse then a lot of things that are morally reprehensible suddenly become options in their mind. Nevermind that their actions have always primarily benefitted themselves.
And speaking of Bill Gates, he is in fact a member of the Club of Rome. This is not an obscure organization, their ideas are very much mainstream. They have many former and current heads of state in their group.

Because they don't think climate is a major problem, it's almost irrelevant to them. I can find some clips of them saying this which I'll post when I do, but it's basically a non issue compared to resource availability and unchecked population growth. Pollution is almost never a real limiting factor in their population models. It's more along the lines of a convenient excuse to impose resource rationing without the general population themselves adopting rationing behavior.

They are afraid of an uncontrolled population collapse, some of them have other reasons for doing it but that's the primary justification. They wanted to 1) slow population growth to limit the extent of an overshoot, and 2) acclimate the society towards mass migration so they can ramp it up as needed to stabilize population at the lower level after fertility levels fully collapse. They want a managed decline back to sustainable levels, not an uncontrolled collapse. Immigration is highly controllable and they can set exact number targets each year. That's how they explain it, but I'd also say some of them have private reasons for doing what they're doing based on their ideologies and vision on what the world should look like.

Fellas, I'm in this to make money, not stay on a raft out in sea with you lot for the foreseeable future. I have most shares DRS'd and some shares in a flexible position.
The anathema towards anything that isn't one strict play (DRS) is very cult-like, and that's not a good quality in any individual investor. Fortunately, the fundamentals are sound, the leadership is great, the transformation is happening, and the numbers don't add up.

>>53648378
I would generally agree. However, it's not truly limited, right? They can only dilute up to whatever amount the principal + interest of the convertible debt is. I haven't followed it closely so I don't know if that's a big chunk of their market cap.

Either way, unless it somehow turns out Icahn is involved in BBBY, I'm staying far away. I wish I had bought when Ryan Cohen was first revealed as an investor, though.

The number of shares they get back is the debt coupon / price of the stock. If the price of the stock approaches zero, it's the same as dividing by zero. Something just occurred to me. The recent filing shows that Vanguard lent out 99.6% of their shares to short sellers. It’s probably safe to assume that the other institutional investors are doing the same thing. In other words, we don’t have to lock the float, just the free float. These institutional investors can’t exit their position until they get back the shares they lent out, which means shorts have to cover. Once the free float is locked, it’s over. We win. In all likelihood MOASS will happen before then because these guys probably don’t want it to get to that point. They need to start buying before we hold all the shares or else the price is going straight to $3000.

The asshats on the other side of this have a fuckhuge amount of money and potential plays. Many things will need to happen at once to truly back them into a corner from which they cannot escape. Almost happened Jan '21 and March '21 but they haven't been without an escape route since.

At this point I'm waiting for organic price appreciation to the $30+/share GME is worth by boomer metrics; by then hopefully maintaining shorts will become unprofitable, those with the means to exit those positions will, and the remainder will be fucked like in '21. Unfortunately retail has, based on the data, run out of steam (not selling but not buying anymore either), and institutions don't generally want to touch a stock as illiquid as GME, so at this point it's a bit of a waiting game.

>Once upon a time, Tony Stark, a brilliant and successful businessman, was having a meeting with a group of investors who had invested in GameStop (GME) stock. He listened as they explained how they had heard about the stock from a friend, who had told them about the potential for a "short squeeze" and the chance to make a quick profit. Excited by the prospect of easy money, they had invested a large portion of their savings into GME stock. They had watched as the stock price soared and they felt a sense of triumph and validation for their decision. They had boasted to their friends and family about their savvy investment and how much money they were going to make. However, as time passed, the stock's price started to drop, and drop, and drop. The investors watched in disbelief as their investment lost value day after day. They tried to hold on, convinced that the stock would eventually bounce back and they would make a profit. But the price kept going down, and down, and down.

>Tony Stark, who had always been a savvy and successful businessman, couldn't believe what he was hearing. He felt disappointed and frustrated by their lack of research, analysis and responsibility. He berated the investors for not doing their due diligence before investing, for buying into the hype and not understanding the risks involved. He reminded them that investing is not a get-rich-quick scheme, and that they should always think twice before making any investment decisions. He also emphasized that they should never invest more than they can afford to lose, and that they should always be prepared for the worst-case scenario. He advised them to cut their losses, sell their GME stock and move on.

>Feeling ashamed, the investors realized that Tony Stark was right. They took his advice and sold their GME stock. They knew it would not be easy, but they had learned a valuable lesson and decided to be more careful in the future.

>In the sprawling metropolis of Mega-City One, Judge Dredd stood before a hapless citizen, who was brought before him for committing the crime of financial recklessness. The citizen had invested his life savings into a stock called GME, only to see its value plummet and his wealth disappear in a matter of days.

>"Citizen," Dredd began, his voice booming with authority. "Do you understand the gravity of your actions?" The citizen hung his head in shame, unable to meet the judge's stern gaze. "Yes, your honor," he mumbled. "Good," Dredd replied. "Because your foolish behavior has put not just your own financial well-being at risk, but that of others as well. By buying and holding GME stock, you were engaging in speculative trading, which is illegal in Mega-City One."

>The judge leaned in, his face inches from the citizen's. "You were warned about the dangers of GME. Yet, you chose to ignore those warnings, driven by greed and a thirst for quick profits. And now, you stand here before me, penniless and remorseful." The judge stood up straight, his armored form towering over the citizen. "I hope this serves as a lesson to you, and to all citizens of Mega-City One. The stock market is not a place for the foolish and the greedy. It is a complex and unpredictable arena, where only the disciplined and the wise succeed."

The judge's words echoed throughout the courtroom, sending a chill down the spine of all who heard them. "I sentence you to community service, to be carried out in the financial district, where you will learn the true value of hard work and discipline. And maybe, just maybe, you will think twice before engaging in speculative trading again." The citizen was led away, humbled and ashamed of his actions. Meanwhile, Judge Dredd stood tall, his duty to maintain order and justice in Mega-City One fulfilled once again.

>Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my show. I'm your host, Jim Cramer, and today we're going to be discussing one of the most talked-about companies in the market right now, GME Gamestop. Now, I know that many of you out there are holding onto this stock, hoping for a turnaround, but let me tell you, the numbers don't lie. GME's financial position is dire, and it's only a matter of time before the company goes under.

>First of all, let's talk about revenue. GME has been struggling to keep up with the shift to digital gaming and online sales. This company's brick and mortar approach is no longer relevant and is not adapting fast enough. In addition, they have a heavy debt load, and they're not generating enough cash flow to cover it. And let's not forget about the intense competition they're facing. The video game industry is constantly evolving and changing, and GME simply can't keep up. Companies like Amazon, Xbox, and Playstation are eating their lunch, and it's only a matter of time before GME is left behind. Now, I know that some of you may be thinking, "But Jim, what about the recent stock price spike? Surely that's a sign of a turnaround?" Well, let me tell you, that spike was fueled by speculation, not by fundamentals. It's nothing more than a bubble waiting to burst.

>In short, GME is a company that is past its prime and is not adapting to change. The numbers don't lie, and it's clear that this company is headed for a fall. My advice to you: If you're holding onto GME stock, it's time to sell, and sell now. Because if you don't, you're going to be the one left holding the bag when the bottom falls out."

You thought you could make a quick buck by buying GME stock. But what happened? The value plummeted, and now you're left with empty pockets and shattered dreams. Ha! Ha! Ha! I told you the market was unpredictable, I told you it was a game of chance. But did you listen? No, of course not! You were too blinded by greed, too caught up in the excitement of quick profits.

>And now, you stand here before me, a bunch of losers. Ha! Ha! Ha! I can't tell you how much this delights me. To see you all fall, to see you all suffer... it's like music to my ears. But don't worry, my dear friends. The market will always have another opportunity for you to make a fool of yourself. Just keep throwing your money away, and maybe one day you'll hit the jackpot! Ha! Ha! Ha! Good luck, Gotham! You're going to need it!"

>Once upon a time, in the courtroom of Judge Judy, a group of GME investors and longs were brought before her to answer for their actions in buying and holding onto GME stock. The plaintiffs, a group of hedge funds and short sellers, accused the defendants of making a reckless and irresponsible decision.

>"What were you thinking?" Judge Judy scolded the defendants. "Did you not do your due diligence? Did you not consider the risks involved in buying such a volatile stock?" The defendants, looking sheepish, explained that they had been caught up in the hype and excitement of the stock's sudden rise. They had believed that it would continue to go up and that they would make a quick profit. "You let your emotions cloud your judgment," Judge Judy said sternly. "You should have known better. You should have taken a step back and looked at the bigger picture. You should have realized that this kind of rapid and unsustainable growth is not sustainable." The hedge funds and short sellers argued that they had warned the defendants of the risks involved and that they had acted recklessly. Judge Judy listened carefully, but ultimately ruled in favor of the plaintiffs.

>"I find the defendants guilty of making a poor and irresponsible decision," Judge Judy declared. "You have not only lost your own money, but you have also affected the market and caused losses for others. I hope this serves as a lesson to all of you to be more careful and responsible in your investments." The defendants, humbled and chastened, apologized and promised to be more careful in the future. Judge Judy, satisfied with the outcome, closed the case and adjourned the court. Just like Judge Judy, the GME longs and stockholders were held accountable for their actions, and they have to bear the consequences of their poor decision. They were also reminded of the importance of being responsible and doing their due diligence when investing.

>Batman: Mr. Freeze, you've been a thorn in my side for far too long. And now, I've caught you in another act of foolishness.
>Mr. Freeze: What are you talking about, Batman? I haven't committed any crimes.
>Batman: Don't play dumb with me. I'm talking about your investments in GME stock. You thought you could beat the market, and now you're left holding the bag.
>Mr. Freeze: It was a risk I was willing to take. What's wrong with that?
>Batman: What's wrong with that is that you were playing with other people's money, Freeze. You were using your criminal connections to influence the market and make a quick profit. That's illegal, and it's unethical.
>Mr. Freeze: So what are you going to do about it? Are you going to arrest me?
>Batman: No, I'm not. I have a better idea. I'm going to teach you a lesson about responsibility and smart investments.
>Mr. Freeze: And how do you plan to do that?
>Batman: By showing you the way. You see, I have a Batcard credit card. It's more than just a piece of plastic. It's a symbol of responsibility and good financial management.
>Mr. Freeze: I don't see how that's relevant.
>Batman: It's relevant because I want to teach you how to make smart investments. Investments that won't come back to bite you in the end.
>Mr. Freeze: And what about your suit? The one with the nipples?
>Batman: (sighs) Yes, Mr. Freeze, even the bat nipples. They're a symbol of my commitment to justice and my responsibility to Gotham.
>Mr. Freeze: I see. I suppose I could learn something from you.
>Batman: Good. Then let's get started. It's time to turn that ice-cold heart of yours into a smart financial mind. And maybe, just maybe, you'll finally start to see the error of your ways.

I've seen this coming for years.

They just needed to get more diverse on the front lines, not necessarily in the player character department. They're so worried about making sure that everyone can be represented that they neglect everything else. It's sad really.
