As a pure salary, you're talking about senior techfags, doctors, financebros and other very senior roles in large companies. I do. It's fine. The increase in income happened suddenly so in 2017 we were both making around 200k combined and then from sales commissions and job hoping it went to making 400-500k within 2-3 years and our lifestyle didn't have a chance to do the creep. The only big day-to-day difference is not having to budget so hard to pay for things and we have a plan to pay off the mortgage and property within 3-4 years. That lack of "hope" anons talk about I actually have. I still have wagie stress and care about what the markets are doing and recession directly affects commission payments so we'll drop down to 300k this year. Saving around 15k a month after bills/investments. I hope the outcome from those investments/savings starts to compound exponentially.

Consooming is quality groceries and alcohol for cooking/cocktails, more weekend trips, and eating out at nice restaurants 2-3 times a month to blow off steam from work bullshit.
