Nobody takes on a paralegal if they haven’t got at least a law degree. The pay is shit depending on what area you go into, for me it’s Mergers & Acquisitions in corporate law so the pay for me as a paralegal is actually quite lucrative. If I’m not successful for their TC application then I’ll look at a high street firm, in that case I will likely be worked liked a dog on shitty pay until I’m qualified. It’s worth it in the end.
