We will know for sure when that happens because price changes will switch from basically no direction to any direction at all. The main indicator that we can use to identify this switch is that we will start to see stock prices rising or falling instead of just sitting there. Look at those delinquency and credit card debt charts people posted; consumer balance sheets are strong and they still have a robust labor market to fall back on.

Since we had lockdowns which affected some sectors (such as manufacturing), but not others, it very well could just be a reshuffling of where money needs to be flowing. Healthcare, defensives, and manufacuting might be the places to be putting capital into for this next year.
