Lets make this a thing here to offset all the crypto/meme BS
Pumping is a good thing when it involves something of value- participants benefit and there is no bag holding.

Think like Ben Graham, Michael Burry, Warren Buffet.
Lets see ideas for companies that actually produce something, make money, and are worth less than they should be

This is a great idea but I don’t think it will take off on /biz/. This place is just scams and frog posts about crypto pumps for absolute shit. Long term growth not the thing.
I am UK based and getting absolutely hammered by my long terms holding. However the last two buys I made - greggs and games workshop - are up 30% and 8% in the few months I’ve held them. I’m still worried about a crash but as far as Bongland goes the sausage roll diet and plastic miniatures is all that is keeping the economy going

Most people over the last 5 years have pointed to AMRS being the number 1 stock as far as gains potential.

Many expect it to go from 1.50 to 200 dollars withing 5 years or so.

I looked into it, and it is definitely possible, abd even probable, assuming it survives the next year.
Looks fine though, one of their assets is 1b$ yet the entire company is valued at like 400m.
Their chance of BK looks non existent.

If you want to get filthy rich, this is a much much much safer bet than any crypto ever posted here, and much more likely than any penny stock.

INTC, MMM, MO
my top 3 in large cap value
problem with value investing is you will get (((meddled))) with, but sometimes they really are just giving away pearls for basically nothing. GE looked like an incredible value in 2018 and if you'd held you would be up today, but in the interim it lost more than 50% of its value and suspended the dividend and hit people with nonstop fud to get them to sell. i have a big intc position and through december a guy from my bank was calling me every single day telling me to sell it.
i had some very good value trades though so don't give up, bought allergan right before abbvie bought them and bought abbvie the day they announced the buyout and bottom ticked bristol myers and exxon mobil and the fud then was similar to the fud now. sometimes it comes true sometimes it doesn't, but in the long run value investing tends to work and you get paid dividends to spend in the next (((crisis))) even if you have to wait.

Betting that
>P/E will mean-revert
>earnings and shares outstanding will trend
>dividend as is

For all available stocks I calculate it's internal rate of return
>IRR = [5-Year Average P/E] / [P/E Now] * ([Earnings Now] + [5-Year Average Annual Earnings Growth]) / [Earnings Now] * [Shares Outstanding] / ([Shares Outstanding] + [5-Year Average Annual Share Growth]) + Annual Dividend Yield
Remove any stocks with negative or NaN IRR results.
Construct a portfolio of stocks where the percentage allocated to each stock is proportional to the calculated IRR.

I like this a lot more that older ideas of "value". It accomplishes similar goals but without strangely restrictive filters like a hard P/E limit.
>Buy growing, quality companies for a reasonable price.

The image attached is historical performance by deciles of IRR.

I like your idea of builing a diversified portfolio. However that is basic investment advice and you should know that a higher appetite for profits come with a higher risk. So let's say you have a comfy 20% /VSG/ stocks and 10% /pmg/ and 70% high return stocks. This general should focus on the comfy part.
