All that being said, you can barter with lighters, matches, pain killers (any medicine), alcohol - pure grain is best since it can be mixed with anything and is low-volume and can be traded again. Toilet paper is too high volume to trade. Bleach, if you can put it small bottles for trade. But again, all of this will get you killed sooner than later.
