Even this. Risk management doesn’t tell him how

Set tight stop/loss orders and take profit anon
Buy BTC at $23k, set stop/loss at $22.99k and profit above $24k
If prices moves down $100 you lost but stopped before you could lose more
If prices moves up you made $1000 plus
It’s not that hard

You can have a 1% win rate and still make money if the payout from those rare wins is high enough.

>> No.53535729

>>53535607
No, you’re retarded.
You can have a 10% win rate and be profitable
>start with $100k
>risk 10k each trade on 10 trades
>9 trades trigger stop and you lose 1k
>repeat 9 times
>1 trade triples and you get $30k ($10k initial + $20k profit)
>$20k profit - $9k losses = $11k profit with 10% hit rate

Variable size of input and risk.
If your biggest bets are the safest and come trough while your smaller less important are usually misses you an be earning with 30% win rate.
Bet $100K on 2 bets of some low return safe stock.
Bet $1K repeatedly on 8 bets of some wild risky stock.
2 bets go trough and you have some small earnings.
1 out of 8 risky bets goes trough and others fail you are in a net small loss.
But overal you earned on 30% win rate.

that is the risk management system, not your trading strategy.

most people have neither, they just buy stuff, and paperhand it when it goes down, then buy back when it goes up.

if you just look for good trades, simple stuff like "this will probably either break down -5%, or go up 20%", and set a stoploss at -6% and a take profit at +15%, and do this with small enough position sizes (5-10% of portfolio), you will probably do fine given that your intuition isn't completely off

for those who might want to ask: this guy is right. though i will add imo finding the ratios of take profit to stop loss if you do not strategy test you are just guessing randomly. and even backtesting can be wrong. so random guesses = the worst of the worst

For a 30% example, you need a multiplier of 3.33x to break even, so any higher is profit.
For example if you aim for 4x for trades and are correct 30% of the time, you are a winning trader because even if you lose 2/3, your 3rd trade creates profit. An example of 100 dollar trades with a 4x multiplier with 2 losses and 1 win.
-100-100+300=100 profit.

if you are super cheap you can put up a Quonset hut instead, only costs like 10k materials and 5k build cost.

btw every crypto exchange regularly (daily) stop loss hunts +/- 5% of the average price and can easily dip 10 or 15% suddenly and shoot back up

The trick is to increase your margins in all axes. Most retards will try to get better success just by altering their profit/loss metrics (i.e they're exit conditions). This is ok, but you need to increase your time axis as well.

It's much better to take a $1000 week long trade than to do 10 $100 6 hour trades. You might think, well don't I want to place as many trades as possible to statistically average out my win rate? No. You want to have less risk overall. Increasing time axis will average out volatility and make trades more easily profitable.

Consider the wheel strategy if you're new to trading.

Also stop trying to make it if you don't even have $10,000 saved up to play with

It's very simple. Your 30% winning trades make more profits than your 70% losing trades make losses.
However seeing as you had to ask this, you are probably way too low IQ to trade.
