So this is new for exploration in many new and modern ways. However this area has been on the Navy's radar, pun intended, for ancient and modern wrecks for maybe 100 years. I'm willing to gamble they knew about all this or a portion of it way back when.
This is to extrapolate on what bob and I were discussing with "national parks" or whatever. When me and bob disagree its on a fundamental level, philosophically or otherwise, but when we agree it's because the likelihood of a culmination of factors we both see from different points of view point to an obvious conclusion.
Having said that, lemme let you know, the navy has known about this and sent divers down as far as they could survive, and some further, to look for boats. I know this because they look for straight lines in those surveys. Densities. You're actually reading the air which pings differently, thus fish finders that find the air bladder in a fishes "lung"
I'm drink so this is probably shit
Nobody ever askse to clarify so I assume I'm always right unless I'm wrong and only bob spray farts on me them

Getting a geology education was one of the best things I ever did even though it was incredibly difficult. It gave me a solid background in math, physics, chemistry, biology and several engineering related fields. To me, geology is the ultimate culmination of science. Charles Darwin studied geology, back then they were called "naturalists". It has given me enlightenment which is the true purpose of education. While the job market is meh (It will get a lot better), the enlightenment aspect is incredible and I highly recommend it. I understand things and think about things in ways that people can't understand and I feel it gives me opportunities (like who the fuck thinks about salt for example or sand)

Now I am going to school for finance and business. I feel like I have learned the laws of the natural world, and now I am going to learn the workings of the human world (business), once I complete my education I think I will achieved something pretty incredible in terms of academic enlightenment.

Despite this I'm one of the top minds in the Austrian field. They even publish my works if I contribute by proxy or clandestinely.

Anons, help a brother out here. I'm not asking for a freebie and I've been here at least off and on for years. What on earth is uranium going to do?! I'm holding these bags and barely at a profit finally but I feel uranium is the future, nuclear and all. The doubt in my head is that the powers that be probably WOULD love to keep us dependent on a weaker and more expensive energy source that they can more readily control. So where does this leave uranium investors? I'm not a rich man but my commodities portfolio is 75% uranium. Help me settle this internal conflict please.

I remember telling people to sell around the ATH simply pointing out that the stock had run up hugely on no news. But apparently the catalysts coming made it make sense for the stock to 4x. Didn't even know back then that the stock has essentially run up since 10c on pretty much nothing but retail hype.
They obviously have a very large deposit, but whether or not it this is going to get build within the next decade or what their profit margin realistically will be, retail has absolutely no clue. Salt still needs to go a bit lower. We need the $1.65 gap close to get rid of it.
After that it's a pretty nice looking chart going into the future.
Remains to be seen whether it goes down a bit further from that gap or consolidates to this level to freak out smaller retail or if it's simply good to go up from there after the close.

The stocks dump on these great news specifically because they're a good investment.
Imagine that you were part of the small hat long nose tribe and could manipulate the stocks, what would you do when you hear something has more or less risk free value?
You tank the stocks and keep them down to demoralize people out of it and then accumulate them in all silence. Then once again get the swingoids jumping in once you decide to finally let the stock move up.
Then we get people saying they wish they didn't sell at the bottom taking a huge beating before jumping back in at higher prices.
People need to start being more patient with these moves and switch their attention span from the weekly or even monthly range to the +1 year outlook and things are going to get a lot more stress free and lucrative.

Doing some trend trades on commodities (they're largely uncorrelated to eachother and the main market) on the daily chart and I'm up $50 on a gold swing from a few weeks ago. Nothing exciting, but it was a small position size. As my system gets more robust, then so too will my position sizing and leverage. It's just a long, slow patient game.
You can't hope to retire on investments like these; best thing to do is manage the downside risk, and keep accumulating wealth and putting it to work for you.

Junior miners are a shit investment. It's a gamble. Most of them are going to lose money and you're hoping for one big payday that offsets all those losses.

The Jews and the government are on your side. Just learned this. If we all worked for the government then everything would be fine. The fact that .01% of the global population is 100% of the international banking community is purely antisemitism. you see a pattern that is either
1. Untrue
2. True but not meaningful
3. True but only if you ignore other patterns

And because your brain is schizophrenic you don't understand these errors of thought.

you feel because the apophenic pattern is explanatory it must be true. And then you go around hating other people and maybe even killing other people for some schizo bullshit you either made up or more likely were spoon fed by other people who are actually controlling your mind and actions.

it's all so tiresome.

It sure ain't boring. Literally the only competent/intelligent managers are those who started as engineers and worked their way up through field supervision before getting sent by hq to other mines to develop them. All external/non-mining hires are fucked except for one I can think of.

This right here kills projects. Telling your junior staffers / raw recruits to go climb into the slime pond, while its buried in snow, because you want to put a new liner on top of the existing material. Yelling at guys telling you the road down into the portal is impossibly slippery and machines will crash into the wash bay at the bottom because of it. Shitty GMs cause more problems than I can count, the Yes Men that issue the insane orders out to the work force are just as bad.

My personal favorite is the GM who claimed he was an army ranger (he did not appear to be) and worked his way up in some worthless analytics bullshit role by befriending senior executives. He eventually made GM level, got put in charge of an extremely complex recent acquisition that was supposed to be a cash cow, and immediately ran it into the fucking ground. A) He pissed off the union by treating employees like shit and B) He figured he'd save some money and make his operation look good on the financial statements by never doing maintenance on the conveyor or anything else. So the fucking conveyor wound up down for 6 months, they therefore laid off most of the employees and blamed it on the union being difficult, and by the time they were ready to restart they started checking the rest of the equipment and found out they only had 33% of their production ready, and that while the mine was sitting empty a bunch of shit had collapsed which necessitated a whole fucking geotech study before it could be fixed and the mine could be put back into service two years later.
tl;dr don't hire veterans to run mines that all of the qualified PE GMs with Master's degrees refused to touch with a ten foot pole

my personal favorite is mine management hiring from their friend pool from the other side of the country, who bring in all new fresh out of school engineers and geos who have no real experience, then task them with figuring out how to widen the scope of a mine meant only to do a bulk sample. The team were used to Canadian shield rock, but had never worked in shales or anything weaker than granite, than started loosing their minds when the 30ft/45ft drives they were working on kept caving in. One of the younger managers had never even seen a mine before that job, he was put there by nepotism, his dad was on board of directors. The project tanked after 8 months, its still on mothball status until a new plan of attack can be drawn up.

>> No.53536982

Bro, the thing is that you can get anything approved if you tell a good enough story.
Analysts only think 12 months in advance, so if you're looking at an acquisition and the commodity goes up in value 2x while you're doing DD you'll still probably buy it because whoever decided it was a good idea to buy doesn't want to look like a dumbass, and if they don't buy it while prices are going up then analysts will ask annoying questions on earnings calls about how you're continuing to grow.
You can change a couple cells in an excel spreadsheet and completely change the economics of a project, and unless you have the right people asking the right questions most of your assumptions and forecasts are probably fucked anyways.
I've been a mine planner. All that matters is having defensible assumptions. In reality, you're lucky if you can get within 10% of tomorrow's production and 30% of next week's. Over the year you're probably within 10-20%, but that's only because GMs will spend more/less money to hit their planned targets as the year goes on.
I'd literally just make up numbers and use averages for the numbers more than a month or two out, and those numbers went to finance and eventually to our financial reports to investors.

I'm actually out of the mining business now. I still love it, but I got a role that pays a hell of a lot more and lets me see more stuff than the same mine day after day. I love the spirit of mining, the equipment, the people, and the explosions, and I may be back one day soon, but hopefully in the role of that douchebag BOD guy who got his son hired. Either way, that's fucked. I always hated "technical" experts who thought they could apply their bullshit to my mine. I'm the motherfucker who's here everyday, you having new ideas is nice, but they're not going to work.

gas prices are low now because muh winter is nearly over and yurope didn't get raped too hard
they won't be able to replenish their energy reserves by next winter so that's when the real spike happens
also you can thank American globohomo policies for pushing LNG and exports of gas to foreign countries, which will drive up the price of energy in the USA and make our industry/manufacturing less competitive.

>Nobody is trying to help you and lots of groups are actively trying to exploit you
But that's how the fucking universe works, life is literally a zero-sum game. Every benefit you have is because of something else carrying the burden. You ate a loaf of bread? Wheat had to be killed and harvested. Any modern convenience you have, like your PC is made off of the labor of others. Even equities are not a mutual benefit: you and the company may benefit, but eventually you have to sell the asset to receive money. Eventually, someone will have to foot the bill for your success. And it's not necessarily an immediate loss on one person, either; because of how international markets work, that could be evenly distributed to everyone in an entire fucking country, due to how exchange rates and loans work.

I'm not a communist, I love capitalism, but every moment you are alive is a competition for resources, it's just the nature of life.
