I've seen this one floating around here on /biz/ for a while now, been watching it, chart looks strong and the community is growing. Not sure if I want to pull the trigger.

I've looked into this one, adding to my watchlist and waiting for pullback. The GitHub activity and regular progress updates from the core developer are reassuring. Chart looks strong af too. Hope it pulls back, but if not the overall valuation still remains quite low for what I think this can become.

That's not what the 4 year counter means. The 4 year counter represents the point when SPARK will become entirely community controlled. The developer plans to foster a developer ecosystem through bounties financed via vested tokens.
Of all the tokens minted:

>25% locked on a 4 year linear vesting
He plans to use that 25% to fund the bounties as they unlock. Once the 4 years elapse there will be no more tokens to finance bounties with, therefore by then the community must either take it over or let it die.

What are the chances of a single guy actually making something good? Even if everything goes good it is still a pretty big gamble right? Tho if it does pump....it will pump a lot....

Learned in the past run to never invest in lone developers or single guys. They often go full energy for some time and they drop off the face of the earth or get hired somewhere else where they get paid more than with their pet project.
