True, but the point is when you got a $1 mil NW, if your car depreciates $20k in the first year you own it, you only lost 2% of your NW. It's a small piece of your world, unlike the dude making $50k who goes out who takes out a $50k loan, will pay the bank $65k after all the interest, and will only be able to sell the car for $25k five years from now. It's just a terrible deal, even more so when you're not paying in cash.

The average peasant also didn't have electricity, air conditioning, plumbing, internet, modern medicine, etc. I imagine I could probably live off 10 hours a week working minimum wage if I wanted to live in a shack off the grid and die of an infected tooth at 32. I'd rather work 40 hours a week and live a life of relative safety and comfort, seems like a fair trade to me.

And please tell me how more gibs and government meddling in the market is going to help with inflation, not just make it worse like it always does. The reason shit got so expensive the last couple years is (government) lockdowns and supply chain interruptions over a cough, (government) stimulus checks and putting more money in consumers hands to chase fewer goods, (government) manipulation of interest rates making borrowing and buying large ticket items like cars and houses cheaper, etc.

And that was your choice anon. I'm not going to advocate 60-70 weeks unless it's for a relatively short period of time (say a year or two) while you're working toward a goal (getting out of debt, saving money for a downpayment, etc.). You do need to have some time to actually enjoy your money and the fruits of your work. If your job offers a shit work life balance, find one that provides a better balance.

Never buy a new luxury vehicle. There are plenty of benefits that outweigh the depreciation when buying new. For example, pre-paid maintenance (oil, tire rotations, etc), zero cost of repairs, warranty in case of anything going wrong.
As long as you buy Honda, Toyota, Ford or Nissan you won't be too bad after 3 years. Most people end up with positive equity at the 3 year mark if they finance. Just don't buy a shit brand or a luxury and you'll be fine.

Lexus is definitely a good deal. They hold their value pretty well (not as well as actual Toyotas though), and for what you get it's a deal compared to BMW or Mercedes. They are also very reliable and share many parts with Toyota, which makes repairs relatively more affordable. Acura is good as well, don't do Infiniti, it's ass. Infiniti is as luxury as Gucci shirts that say Gucci is high fashion. Like I said earlier, if you pay your car on time and don't drive crazy miles you should have a decent amount of positive equity by year 3, or if you're one of those "I'll drive it 'till the wheels fall off" fags then you don't even have to worry about it.

I definitely recommend this, dealership pro-tip. Negotiate the fuck out of your total amount. Try your hardest to not have a market adjustment and tell them you will finance with them if they give you X price. For example, car is 36,000. Tell them you want it for 33,000 and you'll finance with them if you can get that total amount, otherwise I'll get it at 36k but I'm financing with cum slinger credit union. They'll fuck you up the ass with the rate, but that's OK because 2 months from now you will go to your local credit union and you'll refinance for a 3-8% lower interest rate. You'll get your discount and a lower rate, and the dealer gets to go fuck themselves.

Only coping poorfags would suggest buying anything 10 years or older. These fucking idiots assume that a cars only function is to move you from point A to B. There are qualitative traits such as enjoyment, societal stigma, and lack of stress from knowing it's on a warranty and it likely will not break down new. There's even quantitative qualities like a massive increase in safety due to crumple zone technology and decreased emissions. So, if you want to be pushed around by the poorfag way of thinking then only measure a cars value by its price tag. But of course, poorfags love their sour grapes.

Even if your a poorfag it's not worth it, over 10 years old and the car is bound to have problems. Had a 2000 Subaru outback and when shit broke on it I had to source parts myself from the wreckers. The engine light on it came on and not a single auto electrician in my shitty country town could fix it. Less than 10 years old and they still produce the parts, it has low mileage and you can walk into the mechanic and let them replace/install the part for you. If you have a car as a poorfag it's an occupational expense anyway even if it's just convenience in terms of commute so it makes no sense to buy a shit box that you need to spend a disproportionate amount of time fixing up yourself.

It's pretty fun, I definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to get into sales but don't know how to get their feet wet. You get to learn a lot of sales skills from people around you but there is very little formal training. It's very sink or swim, you either make it or you don't. It's a great job if you wanna make 80k+ year one with zero training or schooling. Our top guy at our store is some Brazilian, uneducated immigrant that sells $400,000 a month and takes 50k+ take home, after taxes every month. Pretty wild, I'm still reasonably new at this so I make more like 6k a month (after taxes), but at least I rank in the top 5 of the sales people here.

Only downside to selling Toyotas is that you're selling Toyotas. Toyotas attract the type of crowd that has terrible credit, or is like most of the fags in here will debate scream at you over pennies. I've lost deals because these idiots wanted a win ($300 discount on a financed car) more than they wanted the car they need.

Also, fuck Indians. Hate them with a passion. I hated them before, but now it's personal. Holy fuck they don't know how to negotiate. They think negotiating is asking for a 75% discount.

I hear this a lot. The fact you deal with Brazilians and Indians makes me think you’re in Mass.
What are the hours like? I’m kind of sick of my job and I make $80k. I’ve gotten to the point where I really don’t give a fuck and if I get fired for some reason I told myself I’d go work at a Toyota dealership because I wouldn’t feel bad about selling people Toyota’s since I recommend them anyway.

Lmao, how the fuck did you guess that, yes, I work in Mass.
Also, I think I jinxed it with the last post. Immediately after hitting send I get the stinkiest fucking Urdu Hurdu couple I've ever smelled.

My hours are 9-11hrs a day, 9am to 8pm, some days I leave early (as early as 3pm sometimes, but I stay longer so I can sell more). But they're EASY hours. I used to work 10 hours at a factory and it's nothing like it. Very chill, very relaxed. 1hr lunches (sometimes more because it takes extra time to get served at some restaurants). I you have to work one weekend day though (you'll want to, you can sell 2+ cars on Saturdays). In MA there was a lawsuit that made all dealers be closed on Sunday, don't know how it'd be on your state.

But yeah, I recommend you get a car sales job ASAP if it's what you want to do. It's still slow/bad right now but spring and summer is coming, great time to be in car sales. You want to get your reps in now while it's slow so when summer comes you'll have enough training and experience to close 10+ cars. With 10 cars you can take home 6k a month, and that's not even doing great, that's one car every 2 days or so. You can easily sell one car every other day, or one a day, and if you're smart and slick enough you can move used car customers into new cars and make even more commissions.

So yeah, good luck m8, if you're from MA I recommend Bernardi Toyota to start, they don't have a great pay plan, but they take anyone with no experience and their pay plan gives you protection in case you don't sell anything. You'll get LOTS of reps there too. Good luck m8
