Federal government is DESPERATE for engineers and has tons of jobs for recent grads on there. Every year you will go up in pay grade, In like 4 or 5 years you will be making around 90-100k depending on where you live.

Engineering is dead in the US, especially Mech, chem, and civil. Unfortunately nobody relayed this information to you 7-8 years ago.

90-100k isn’t a lot of money today, who would be excited about making that much 5 years from now when it’ll be even less?

Patent Examiner but that job is a white collar sweatshop with the production quotas and arguing with company attorneys all day. Patent Office has to offer everyone remote work because they can't keep anybody. Even the support staff keep getting poached by other agencies or law firms.

I kinda enjoy what I do, but I have always thought about going out of patient care. Old boomers are frustrating. I've though about going into insurance, anything honestly that I can use my degree in (I have no interest in any more schooling). Got any more info on that?

I feel bad for pharmacists. The 180 he makes is above average. I seen all these pharmacy program mills, insane debt, and pay is still as much as a PA/NP. They should for sure be paid more

I sit all day while my technicians do all the work. And yeah it's boring stuff but it's a perfect fit for a functional autist like me. I am super jelly of WFH SWE though. That's the field I should've gone into but I was under the impression that tech jobs would be outsourced to India when I started college.

Profit comes from jobs people don't want to do.

When I was in high school an increasing amount of people wanted to be engineers.

Market saturation = less pay.

I'm not talking about wagies here. This is just for people who picked a career and got a degree.

>> No.53490675

I'm assuming you have decent programming skils op? Try one of those data science bootcamps. Field might be over saturated, but there's still demand and higher starting pay for sure
