OSRS was only fun back in the day. No one wants to grind (aka click 2 things back and forth) all day for skills in a game no one plays anymore. It's good for a basic understanding of economics, but even then raw materials are infinitely produced through respawn so still not the best for real life scenarios.

More people play it than ever and it's getting more popular. I'd also say out of all the digital spaces OSRS has the most longevity. It is a grind that's true, but at least they have legal RWT so you can make your stack with crypto and pay your way to high levels

anon I play games to have fun. buying levels seems pointless to me as most of the fun was achieving those levels when i first played in 2007. some experiences you cant relive and thats ok

Then play the game and don't grind skills. Do quests without guides or pvm, but making things up about the life of the game doesn't help you
